I take ritalin for my adHd, now tell me why would someone make a hyperactivity medicine that makes you more hyper? seriously thats the dumbest thing ive ever heard for me ritalin yes helps me focus but does make me tired which is why I need the medicine

I think ritalin is a quick fix because its
Good in short term like for test/exams
But bad in long term(dependancy, memory loss etc)

Did I say it makes you hyper? Get your facts straight. I've taken both Adderal and Ritalin (stopped Ritalin after diet problems). I no longer take either, minus a stash of Adderal I have left for tests.

Anyone who drinks a coffee daily won't have any hyperactivity problems, and the sugar in energy drinks is what sets you off. Like I said, I don't give a shit what you think happens. It's a stimulant, it wakes you up, connects your brain. Giving a stimulant seems counter intuitive to ADD and ADHD, but my doctor explains it best.

Kids with ADD/ADHD have no trouble at ALL concentrating on video games. The video games act as a stimulant.

I think it's a good thing. I know it's sold ALOT at my school around exam time, but I have never done it so I wouldn't know. I'd say it's pretty harmless too if you don't abuse it, but I don't know. Every once and awhile when you're not perscribed can't be too bad I wouldn't think. You don't hear about people becomming addicted to ritalin and you hear people becomming addicted to painkillers.

Look everyone, Ritalin is a drug that was designed to treat Narcolepsy which is a sleep disorder, as well as A.D.D which is when someone can't focus well.

I was diagnosed with Narcolepsy two month's ago, I am 16 years old. It has helped me in a lot of ways, keeping me awake, more focused, more energy. The main side-affect's were loss of appetite which went away after a week. Mild headaches, stomach aches if you don't eat anything when you take it and sweaty hands. My doctor told me that Ritalin is commonly used by college student's in the U.S to help them focus more by studying before a test, etc. Just my two-cent's on RITALIN~! :)

Of course it's a good idea. I probably wouldn't do it because it seems too good to be true and has negative side effects. It's your body, do what you want with it

How can you say it is such a good idea? Don't make such strong statement's when you have not experienced being on it. I have, since I was diagnosed with Narcolepsy. Also, just because it is "Your body" doesn't mean you should do what you want with it. Snap back into reality and use your brain.

Oh I'm sorry, I forgot that because it's YOUR body, it means others have control of it. My bad, I must have forgotten.

I personally don't give a shit if you were diagnosed with narcolepsy, but he asked my opinion, and yes I think it's a good idea, but if you didn't read my THREE sentence post, I said: "I probably wouldn't do it because it seems too good to be true and has negative side effects"

When I take ritalin, for my AD/HD, It does make me focus, but it makes either not hungry at all, or very hungry. As well as making me equivalent to a zombie

I prefer amphetamines myself. There's nothing like a nice dose of dextro-amphetamine right up the sniffer to get a paper written, but I normally end up using Adderall since its a lot cheaper. I would imagine methamphetamine to be the best study agent if you can find it. A gram of meth costs about 100 bucks on the street and will get you about 100 medicinal doses. I suppose you could try to get your doc to prescribe you Desoxyn (Methamphetamine in a pill), but that's just a waste of money in a doctor visit and filling a script. Skip the middle man.

Methylphenidate hardly works for me. I feel next to no effects orally, and snorting is like a 30 min rush with another hour or so of "effects." I'll tell you what though, without stimulants there's NO way I'd make it through school.

Well, I would say it doesn't have too bad side effects I mean you could take it during exams/tests or bring some with you to school incase it's pop quiz :) but still IDK I never tried it.
