You reported someone for ban evading and had no proof whatsoever. I did the ip check --- nothing. What more is there for me to say? If you don't have proof theres not much we can do.

If spam reports are backed up i'm not going to write a story thanking everyone for the report.

 

In all fairness you could have stated you ran an IP check. From your post it just looks like you viewed the post and didn't see anything to show he was vading.

I was never jealous of Noam when he got promoted. We were already friends when he was made staff. I was never jealous of anyone being promoted after me. I admit I was feeling a little shitty after I got demoted, but I wasn't going out of my way to get staff members to leak to me and I report them. Don't you think I would have been permed if I had deliberately caused him to leak? (Screenshots of it are in the upper staff lounge).

and as for kjmt i have no problem with you, or any other mod for that matter, but i rarely make reports against people anymore, unless i have reason to believe they are a threat, and would expect clearer responses.

I barely ever get a response when I PM admins / mods.
The only one that always responds is djWeasel.

I, and I'm sure others, were in favor and had no problems when Firez was promoted to admin. He got along with everyone back then. I mean wasn't there an old thread with how he was handling disputes? How it now requires 2 admins to veto a pardon for example. To a meme where it says something like "Firez posted, not locked!". These are things I never expected to see from him prior to becoming an admin.

Obviously anyone being an admin should get the respect they deserve. They contributed a lot and climbed through the ranks to get where they are. But I get this feeling where I cannot respect someone who doesn't respect others. The power they have on this site is at the top, and it does intimidate people into saying nothing or reducing their tone a few notches.

It would end everything if Firez just gave the public the PM with everything blocked out except the word "Faggot" from Marrow, including the date. Instead of waiting for Govind to confirm it (the thread someone pointed to in this thread).

This should really be dealt with internally. I don't think anybody has the right to demand an explanation from an administrator but the staff. So, why don't you guys settle this between yourselves, which I am sure you are more than capable of, and then inform the public of the proceedings?

Quit deleting posts from people that are just expressing their feelings. There was nothing offensive in any of my last two posts that were deleted and I didn't even attack anybody.

Seriously using admin powers to delete posts & not telling anybody about it will only make this worse and will make more people mad. This is not the way to go, for whoever that deleted my posts.

Mate, people like to express their opinions like myself. Obviously the PM system didn't work which is why it's resorted to this. Now stop getting involved. If someone feels like they've been a victim of wrong doing then, they should have the right to express their opinion publicly.

I expressed mine and had all my posts deleted with a lot of proof of being ignored and shit by staff. Not but FireZ personally but someone who was on the OP.

 

What I can see with the help of the Where did ___ go thread as well as the dispute forum archives:

Marrow was banned for his May 8th PM calling FireZ a faggot, not sure the date he was banned for it, but it was most certainly for that as his first ban was before the 20th.
He was unbanned late on the 19th or early on the 20th, to which he sent another PM to FireZ, and was banned again later that day for 14 days.
That being said, by my math, a 14 day ban from the 20th of May should have expired around June 3rd.

My best guess as to what happened:

FireZ banned Marrow for 14 days after the May 20th PM.
Marrow and N4N0 talked and N4N0 unbanned him early.
FireZ got on and couldn't understand why he was unbanned, so banned him again for 14 days.

If thats what happened, I think the best solution to this would be to make a new addition to staff code to cover unbanning users without consulting the banning staff member (same tier of staff as you or higher).
