Regarding PayPal Donations/Bond Payments

Hi all-

It would seem there have been some issues lately with PayPal payments for donations and bond credit. For some reason, PayPal is sending us a lot of "Pending" payments. This usually happens when people pay with an eCheck as the check has to clear the bank. PayPal lets us know about the payment in a pending state so we are at least aware the funds are coming. They are then supposed to send us a payment complete notification so we can actually process the payment fully.

Lately, the payment complete message is either not coming or not being processed correctly.

What does this mean for you? It means if you make a donation or bond payment using PayPal, your payment may get stuck in a Pending state. This means you will not receive donation or bond credit until the payment is marked complete.

What should you do if this happens? PM me. I can go into our donations system and mark your payment as complete for you (once I check that it actually is complete at PayPal mind you).

Sorry for any trouble or confusion. We'll contact PayPal and get this sorted out as soon as we can.

(NOTE: If you pay using an eCheck or other method which is not instant, your payment is SUPPOSED to be pending until it's completed. In this case, you may need to wait a day or two for the payment to clear.)
