Reading ... do you actually do it?

I don't read books,news papers or magazines.
I do read some internet news pages but just the useful things, because probably 90% of it has nothing to do with the actual topic. (Just to fill up the page, just like news papers and magazines. >_>)

I love reading. Ever since I was 5 and my teacher got me hooked on phonics.

I love putting myself into a great story and just getting lost in it.

However, I don't have a local library near me nor do I have a good collection of books. If I did, however, I would read much more.

I prefer forum reading and discussion over book reading though. It's more intellectual sometimes...other times it can make you dumb in the brain(lol).

 

when im on holiday and i have nothing to do i might turn to reading as a last resort! Normally if i can do something els i will!

 

No time for reading... when I read I just read sports newspapers lol.

 

If i can get some decent books, then i read a book once a week...i do it at nighttime normally after school football practice my band jamming all that lol but i still get alot of reading in. i really enjoy reading to be honest.

 

Yes I read. not alot but maybe a book a month or more. I liek fiction such as adventures and sci fi

I have only ever really gotten into reading twice ( im only 15, lots of time to read later on. )
both were for the same auther.

his books are what gave me "imagination"
before i read his books, i never really thaught of reading.
but once i got into his series, (the first ones about vampires,(not as great as demon ones) well, the 1st time i read them i was like 8, and there for teenager's , so i just told my friends i read them. and remember telling a completely fake story about what it was about, and we played games pretending we were the characters out of them, even though none of us really understood the books.
but like 2 years ago, i read the 1st book of the series to see what it was *really* like.
boring start, but fuck. atfer like 1st couple of chapters, i was hooked.
i read the first 12 books in like 2 weeks.
thats when i consider my "imagination" actualy like getting good ( i dont know how else to put it )

and then last year, and this year.
i read his other series.
the demonita series.

they are fucking insanely awsome.
its what inspired me to getting into drawing and gfx and stuff.
when i read his books.
i WAS the character
i wasnt reading words, i was seing the story, i was the story.
it was such a crazy feeling. ( i guess the weed made it better haha )
the last book (book 10 of the demonita series ) has been the last book i've read i think. i never read a book as good as that.
some people may think there silly books or something.
but i fuckin loved em.

i only ever like reading, if i have a book i real like.
books at school are shit, and i cant pay attention to them, unless i want to.
which i normaly dont cause there shit.

so yea, reading's good. but barely, its only worth it when u get a good book.

I find reading novels boring, it really all depends if i have the time or not. I do have a life too.

 

I, myself love to read. Some of my favorite books/series include: Alex Rider series, Fablehaven series, Artemis Foul series, 21 Balloons, and more but i cant think of any more for some reason right now :S I usualy read: action/adventure, books with lots of killing, mystery, and suspense books.

I read, and obviously re-read, the Twilight series. The Twilight series only, by the way. I'd say I go through about a book a week.

 

I don't read regularly but if I'm on vacation I can go through several books in a week sometimes, I read very fast but I'm too lazy to do it
