That makes zero sense. Because if you're going through paypal which is what he is talking about currently and by he I mean OP if he is charging you back he is charging you back and you're losing all of it whether you charge a fee or not is irrelevant...... and if you're doing it through RSGP he isn't giving you anything to chargeback anyway. So where is your logic mate? Because it sounds like you pulled that out of your ass. If anything if someone charges back you're losing more.

Paypal, meh, I agree fees is okay...but when donating with something like RSGP(Like I did), it makes no sense why you would charge me a fee for it. Obviously for the money.

No everybody pays a fee because eventually we will get somebody who charges back. If we didn't charge fees then the instant somebody charges back we would be at an automatic loss. I pride myself in doing 1:1 methods with users that I trust and taking rsgp donations through gold sellers so people get current rates and me not merching them

I do all my rsgp donations THROUGH a trusted gold buyer/seller so people get 1:1 current rates. But you cant possibly expect all of the other bond holders to do the same, RSGP is a safe payment but its not stable, the market is constantly dropping/rising and it could plummet at any time with a jagex update. Also most of the time when bond holders buy from you, then then sell to r2/arcus/divica at their rates. Which is why you get charged what you do

Well I'm raging. Your going to charge people fees when they are using a payment where they can't scam, just so when someone decides to chargeback you can use other people's hard earned cash to pay it back.

You shouldn't be able to charge people like that other than people paying via Paypal. It's like a gold seller charging a fee on every sale, so when one person scams, he/she can use that money to refund themselves.
Does that sound right?

Police officers know the risk of their job but they still do the very best to protect themselves under all circumstances. I dont see how you can justify "Your a bond holder so if somebody charges you back for $300, your loss lol"

Regardless we are allowed to charge whatever we want for fee's, take it to Matthew if you have an issue with it.

How I personally take RSGP payments is:

>User contacts gold reseller that has rates they agree with and that I trust
>User pays rsgp to gold reseller
>Gold reseller sends me payment via PP
>I upload donation.

Because it's a service they are offering. If they weren't making money, who would offer a service for such thing? It's completely understandable.

You're being illogical. If fees were prohibited in donation services, who would offer these services? You're taking a risk. If there is no reward for that risk, it's definitely not worth doing. Ethically, if there was no risk involved, not charging fees would be ideal.

 

Sure if it is something like Paypal I guess the more I think about it fine maybe there should be a small fee. But when it comes to donating via RSGP where is there logic in collecting a fee on that you're not risking a chargeback there.

There is always a risk. Even if it's nonrefundable, there are still risks.

1. RSGP: You risk being banned for RWT.
2. Bitcoins: You risk the currency devaluing in your posession.
3. Ikov: You risk being banned for breaking the rules of the server.

The list goes on.

 

The issue is Bond holders refusing to accept a 5$ donation because it's not "worth their time"

Too many newcomers are vaders who make accounts to scam over and over again so the donation holders are right.

I was ganna do it, but you said you had no time to pay me via pp, how do you not have time when it takes less then a minute to make a payment via pp. Also you asked wolf, he's a new bond holder and atm his donation bond isn't set up properly yet, Matthew just needs to fix it.

Jesus, Matthew Needs to hire new bond holders, I BARLEY managed to donate another $25 through moes and He gave 0 fucks about whether I got to donate or not.


This is actually an issue Matthew needs to step in on and get some new bond holders tbh.
