What you said probably is possible... in a few hundred years...
Technology needs to advance to a level where people have more free time, then we can develop further culturally, get rid of this whole religion idea (), and work further towards world peace...
At the moment, there are simply too many stupid people in the world...

It's impossible, I MEAN IMPOSSIBLE, For world peace to come, It would take like jesus christ to come down here to make it possible, People simply have to many differences, Religion, etc.

I believe that world peace will come one day when military leaders come to there senses and realize that the point in life is not to kill, but to survive in harmony with each other and prosper off of each others wealth and knowledge. I also suspect that world peace will come when the lord jesus christ becomes a mortal again and heals the worlds battle scars and relationship problems. Overall, yes I do think that world peace is possible. All though in the process of it coming about, many nations and military powers will be eliminated by a greater power for a greater cause then war.

I've been thinking about this for a solid half hour and I can't prove it wrong. Have you even thought of an answer? Great question by the way. Well thought out.

They won't rebel. They will all be happy with their life, and the few that aren't will be shot.

Well the problem with peace is that once peace comes someone will want to disrupt that peace to create chaos. They may do this unknowingly or they may do this for fun it could happen either way. They may create disorder to see what it looks like without peace, or because they feel it is better to have different opinions in the world.
Another problem with the statement that we are proving wrong is, it depends on what your definition of peace is. The dictionary says that peace is a nonwarring, normal state of the world, and it also says that peace is a state of serenity. I would imagine that if you were in a state of complete serenity that you would be happy but that's just what I think. So I would say that peace itself is possible but not peace with complete and total happiness. It would be a situation like in Logan's Run. If you haven't seen it yet, rent it its a great movie. It is a perfect society after a war but there's still a few people that want to stur up trouble. Everyone in the movie is happy almost all of the time and at the end *everyone* ends up with perfect peace, harmony, happiness, and all the other good and nice emotions you can think of.
As such I think that world peace with happiness is possible but highly unlikely.

They would not want to disrupt the peace in my world. They would be engineered to love it.

Logan's run is a great movie, true, but, as in most cases, the book was better. :/

While true that they would probably be engineered to love it, it is simple human nature to be curious no matter what you belive to be fact. If it wasn't for curiosity everyone would still believe in the same religion, and no one would doubt it since they wouldn't have any desire to seek the different. All I'm saying is even if there is a perfect society someday, it will probably be thrashed eventually when someone decides to try something new that they may or may not know has bad concequences.

Yet we will cut curiosity out of their system. They will be content with their lives, and it will not occur to anybody to deviate. We will create a world similar to 1984, where everybody is monitored all the time, and dissenters are reformed, then shot.

If every person in the world was killed (or simply ceased to live/exist), world peace would thusly be obtained. There, I have just proved you 100% incorrect in that world peace is a completely valid possibility.

    Good day sir.

To achieve world peace, you're going to eradicate all life?

We've stated before that having 0, or 1 person on the planet is not a solution.

This is impossible. However, an interesting fact is that as long as historians can trace back, the world has only had 3 seconds of peace in total.
