Poppy - Thoughts?

Honestly one of the most underrated hyper carries in the game, in my opinion. Up 'till halfway into season 3 I had always thought of her as one of the most useless champs in the game. I tried her, just as a troll pick, and to my surprise she can dish out -serious- damage late game.

Just recently played a couple with her -

I could 2-hit the enemy ADCs in both games and yet somehow she's one of the least played champs. Has anyone else tried her?

 

Laning with her is terrible, but once you get into the late games the complete face melting damage is kind of cool. I like playing her in 3v3s because you can smash people against the wall constantly.

Only problem is she gets targeted heavily and picked off, also obviously she doesn't really have an escape.

Well, that's half true.

Poppy is actually pretty mobile if you position yourself right. You can E to an enemy minion and press W and no one will catch you.

I don't really count the e as a solid escape but shit you're right, I forgot about her w my bad.

Laning phase is difficult but she is strong mid-late game. Just gotta know how to play her right and you will rock (unless your already losing).

Played Poppy solely on my first account from level 1 - 20 something. She's a great fun champ to play, very strong late game. However, her extremely weak early game, and lack of any lane presence/wave shove makes her totally useless in competitive play in the current meta. She's also too mana reliant and is easily shoved out of lane by any aggressive top laner.

Poppy has a strong matchup against a lot of PURE melee's, but sadly those things don't really tend to exist anymore, I learnt to play poppy for a few matchups I felt she excelled in and it's been working well for me, but for example I wouldn't ever pick it blind into a lane without knowing what was coming.

It's a good thing to learn and can throw a lot of people off their game because it doesn't see much play, another one I do this with is Sion, he has a lot of good matchups in the top lane but never sees play, just throws people off by not judging his damage output correctly etc.

ive only had the pleasure of sharing bot with poppy around 10 times. I am a extremely big fan of hers, i usually take thresh/blitz when i supp. Ive won probably 8/10 games when we have a poppy. Great adc imo. My favorite adc when im supporting is usually ez,jinx or lucian. (if they dont feed and play with downs)

Playing poppy on a freshly created smurf is fantastic, getting 55 kills and one hitting champions is hilarious. Just had the pleasure of doing that this afternoon.

Poppy is a pretty amazing champion but as many weak points. If you can manage to get through lane phase without being really far behind poppy is a beast, and that passive, if you don't have ignite for when poppy gets to low HP its a real pain taking her down haha

Poppy support is also really strong, given you can get the right angles down, I don't see her much top lane though.

Technically "ADC = Attack Damage Carry" so if he build AD items on him then he is consider a ADC. Most people just assume ADC to be a range attacker who build AD items bot lane.
