Yes. I have pizza addiction, I spend most of my money on pizzas ($20 over and over again and *poof cash gone.)

Also very unhealthy and I need to be on a more healthy diet. :/
Idk how to STOP. I always fail to go through with my promise of quitting.

To be honest a good way to break this addiction is to over stuff yourself with pizza until the point of throwing up. This will hopefully deter you from wanting pizza.

Download an app like Mint that will track your spending. It lets you know how much of your money is going into what areas (Rent, Food, Entertainment) and that will give you an idea of how much you're actually spending on Pizza. Maybe you'll get a different perspective on it once you see how much you spend a month and from there compare that to what else you could be either spending/saving up for.

Similarly, if you're worried about how unhealthy eating pizza all the time is, you can download an app called MyFitnessPal where you can track what you eat and it will output all the nutritional value that you're getting from your food. You may find out that you've been overeating in calories and say to yourself "Wow, I shouldn't be eating this as it's really bad for my health" and gradually start cutting back on it.

What is is that is more difficult for you? Not eating pizza or not spending money on the pizza?

You stop by not eating pizza. There are plenty of healthy foods you can get from stores. Even salads from fast food restaurants like Wendy's and McDonald's are good for you. You need to develop self-discipline.

He states it's an "Addiction". Any type of addiction is close to impossible to just go cold turkey right away

Sorry but telling any addict to simply "stop" doing the thing they are most addicted to counterproductive. Granted, I don't know how "Addicted" this guy is to eating pizza but I don't think telling him to simply stop does anything for someone with no self control. You can't really tell someone to develop self-disciple, they have to learn it and practice it.

How do you stop an action? By not doing it. Addictions make it harder, but not impossible. I told him to substitute pizza for healthier food, similar to one substituting gum for smoking.

Develop - start to exist, experience, or possess.

Barring your reiteration, we already possess willpower and discipline, even as children.

Buy frozen pizzas as a start, and then start limiting how often you buy them.

Initially this will help with all the money you are sinking into pizzas ($5 for a frozen one as opposed to $20 to have one delivered.) They don't taste as good but they make decent ones.

Then start limiting how often you purchase them (slowly and gradually) to save yourself some more money and, eventually, get into better health like you wanted. Before too long you won't even be buying them I bet.

I have a pretty bad chocolate addiction so I can somewhat relate, but I think controlling eating habits is the first step, you know best when your body is hungry, try to snack or anything $20 a day on food is too much, if you love pizza, you can make your own and save the dough and sauce throughout the week. The added effort forces you to plan ahead, pizza is much of the time convenience.

The only way to quit is through discipline, but moderation is the first step, find a way to budget, and try making your own food (helps a lot)

Do you not feel like shit after eating pizza? I feel horrible after eating anything I shouldn't be eating, so that's the only reason I'm able to not eat that kinda stuff all the time. Try adding up the calories of everything you're eating in a day, an entire medium pizza @ Dominos is around 2,000 calories. Then, google how many calories someone of your height/weight is supposed to be getting a day, and try to stick to that. I was surprised to learn all I had to do to lose weight was stop drinking 3k+ calories of honey whiskey every night. Similar situation for you kinda.

In order to quit or abstain from eating pizza (or any addiction), you need to have a reason to. Looking into the calories and getting an idea of how bad it is for you might be that reason that stops you from ordering the pizza.

You want to drink water whenever you are hungry, because half of the time you think you are hungry its actually thirst because they use the same receptors.
Stay away from empty calories, soda, sugar and fats and crap will taste delicious, but does nothing to your body other than give you a temporary sugar rush and then crash.
Personally while losing weight up to recently I lived off of dominos and burger king $1 menu off and on. with anything related to weight loss portion control is everything, So when i would buy from those fast food delivery places I would buy a lot at once and try and make it last as long as possible, easting a slice or 4 per day sometimes eating other food, make sure your intake is minimal, You can live for what like 12 days without food, so ease yourself off of excess food and sugary shit and weight loss just happens naturally. Also you want to shit more if you don't already take at least 2 shits a day on average, eat at least some salad and or vegetables and fruits every week, nuts, meat and protein in general, yogurt, easy healthyish grab and go shit like cliff bards and fiber one bars, an apple, orange other fruits, all those together are easy healthy ways to snack all day and keep your metabolism going and the shit flowing. once you do shit 2-5 a day its fucking amazing, cleans you out and puts a spring in your step meaning your metabolism is working burning calories all day not just around meal time.

Try to at least cut down on your pizza expenses. You can eat as much pizza, just try to either buy frozen (cheaper) pizzas or even better make the pizza yourself. Or maybe your addiction is really just lazy ordering food?

Id advise to drink more water, since its a natural thirst/hunger quencher. not only is it a healthier option, but it will lower your pizza intakes significantly. and the frozen pizza idea is a pretty good way to work around not spending too much.

personally, id just try to trim down on getting premium pizzas all the time. start getting like plain cheese or maybe 1 toppings. you still get to eat pizza, but you save like 10 bucks if you arent ordering the bee's knees all the time.
