Don't really see what the big problem is. A big avatar won't be as annoying as a skyscraper vouch signature.

Honestly, I don't think the Mods mind at all if you have a bigger Avatar. The image size limitation saves on Server bandwidth, and if that's a way to benefit the site toward a faster server, I'm sure Sythe will go for it.

25 dollars for an extra 20x20 pixels is 6 cents on the pixel. Sounds fair to me.

You won't have to increase the image upload size limit, though. The size of the image is already large enough to upload a 70x350 signature, which is well more pixels than 100x100.

 

I've donted $25, I should be getting it some time this week, I'll love to get this idea into action.

 

I disagree...if you want to use a .gif the file size is usually bigger. I had an 80x80 .gif avatar that was too large of a file size to use.

 

It would be too large for SOMEONE yet still, no matter how large you set it to. The point of an avatar is not to be a 5 minute video, but rather to be an image that represents you.

 

5 second gifs are way bigger then 19.5KB. The bigger size of the gif, the bigger the file size.
