Okay.. I got scammed for 900$ [updated]

It doesn't look good for you I'm sorry to say. Unless paypal can provide concrete proof to the credit card company (which they most likely can't/wont) then the decision wont be reversed, as paypal will never cop a $900 loss themselves

 

PayPal aren't liable for virtual items and such apart from eBooks.

 

900 dollars isn't the kind of thing you let people get away with.

File charges, and yes, im dead serious. Fraud is fraud.

If she's still living with her parents, get her parents information and inform them. They will MAKE her pay you that money back, probably with interest.

If you have their personal details you should file charges or something. That or cause as much shit for them as you can. No one should get away with $900.

I agree, I once got scammed for €1200,-. Drove to his house and the parents payed me the full amount directly. Now she's living in Cally and you're in Nijmegen so I suggest just get in contact with her parents. When she lives on their own your changes are slightly zero to none...

 

This is why I only use bank transfer.

Looking at it , the worst thing i hear you can say in your notes when sending cash for items is to mentions its virtual items. Payment owed is best.

And as she then claimed her credit card has been stolen, ether way you been mega screwed over. Anything that large, I do IRL Cash or post the cash to a EXTREMLY TRUSTED MM. LONG way but for items worth that much must be done. Or western union.

 

Chargebacks are the worst IMO. Paypal is such an easy way to pay & receive and its just phucked up by the chargebacks.

Been charged back a total of about $400 in my time, which is alot.. but $900 in ONE go thats insane, DON'T let them get away with it!

 

Dont think it's her fault, paypal automatically limits accounts that have suspicious activity such as splitting payments into increments or sending an immensely large amount etc. So sending 100$ a total of eight times would no doubt cause paypal to look into it.

 

This 1000x. Some people in this world are fucking ridiculous.
