I honestly feel like it has always been happening, but the NFL and people are just digging in deeper and making a big deal about it. But still, all this domestic abuse, child abuse, drug abuse, not making this year look so great.

Also, Eli Manning got sacked 256 times in 10 years, so thats averaging more than 1 sack every game

Yeah it's off to a murky start that's for sure.

Welker is returning against the Seahawks this week. Inb4 another concussion. >_<

1.6 Sacks per game to be exact. Last season literally half of the Quarterbacks that played a snap were sacked more than that per game (48 QBs total). 9 QBs in this list didn't even complete 100 passes which we'll discount for now. That puts Eli at #25 most sacked out of 39 QBs. He's in the lower echelon, 1.6 may sound like a lot but it really isn't, plenty of QBs have been sacked a lot more. The blame can't fall squarely at the feet of the OL.

Agreed. Tampa Bay had an awful showing last night and was pretty sad to watch.

How bout 3 playoff teams last year are 0-2 (Saints, Chiefs, Colts) and might be 0-3 at the end of this week.

I don't see that happening though.

Saints were never able to follow through at the end (both games so far lost by a fieldgoal), Chiefs are vulnerable since their number one player is hurt with a sprained ankle, and Colts are just not looking like the same team.

Hopefully Colts and Saints will do better week 3, and maybe Jamal Charles will return too

Wes Welker's return, i'm guessing its going to be insane (2+ TDs from Welker and 100+ yards)

    (Even with Seahawks defense)

Anyone else truly starting to buy into the conspiracy that everything the NFL does is to get Manning to win a superbowl? He seems to be getting bailed out a lot and the rule changes etc...

Wasn't expecting Pats to limp to a win against Oakland. So much wrong on offense but the glaring stat is the running game only producing about 3 YPC against the league's worst run defense.

Texans did pretty awful today. Our run defense looked horrible. Our secondaries were solid as usual and our linebackers were non-existent. I would have liked more D-line pressure but Eli was getting the ball out pretty quickly.

    Asssssss forrrrr theeee offffeenssseee

    :( No comment. :(

EDIT: Decided to comment on the offense.

    BAD

minus DeAndre Hopkins. He had about 5 monstrous catches, one that was called back cause of illegal formation

I think he can be good though. He can measle his way into the top 10 QBs in the league within the next few years.

In this hypothetical situation in the next few years does every other starter and majority of the backups magically retire/die?

He's a decent quarterback, far better then Sanchez. I don't think it's that far fetched.

It really goes to show the lack of talent at the QB position rather than his own potential in my opinion however.
