New Site Issues

Hello!

As you may have noticed, Sythe has been updated to new forum software. We didn't want to keep the site down any longer than necessary, so we still have a lot of work to do. For example, we know that things like ranks, miniranks, SytheGold, and various other features are not working yet. We're still in the process of updating those features for the new software.

The purpose of this thread is for users to report issues that they think require our attention. We do not need you to report things that are obviously missing like ranks. Please only report things that appear to be broken or forgotten. Depending on the volume of posts, it may take some time for us to respond, so please be patient and know that we're working hard to bring all the features you normally enjoy back.

the search function is missing the option to only show threads

Click on "Everywhere" and there are other search options.

The option missing would condense search results into threads instead of individual posts.
Its in the advanced search but not in the quick search.

 

When someone has a 'DNT' or 'TWC' you can no longer click on it to see the related reports

New members are not able to verify when joining the Sythe discord

I head to https://www.sythe.org/misc/token and get "The requested page could not be found."
I reached out to devzach a few days ago to report this, and he passed it on/got it fixed, but the code that it generated never worked with the discord bot, and now today the page is unavailable again

This leaves anyone who joins the sythe discord unable to verify and unable to escape the #verify channel as the instructions listed are unable to be completed

Images are required to be .webp (at least when pasting from clipboard)
I'm a technical person and that limitation is enough for me to not post images - e.g. I would have included some pics in my previous comment, but I'm not going to convert my pngs to webps just to paste into here...

Consider adding support for jpeg/png/other types to be pasted (and converted to .webp if/when required)

When trying to edit my Account details at https://www.sythe.org/account/account-details

The phone number shows as an encrypted string, preventing me from updating my account details
I was able to type my number in and save/override the encrypted string, but now my plaintext phone number shows when I return to the page
(I'm not sure if it should show as encrypted, or the plaintext number, either way this is odd and potentially concerning)

/account/sythe-token lets me generate a token, but the discord bot does not accept it

the discord bot also directs to /misc/token in its initial message:




and in the Sythe discord #verify channel also points to /misc/token (step 5):

On Firefox i can't even access the site it's stuck on a cloudfare "performing security verification" loop.

 

Sometimes when you go to a forums section, your profile picture appears on other profiles. This happens when you have posted on a thread in the past.
