New Users vs scams

So new users who join this site and don't know who are scammers and who isn't. Most of the vouchers are fake on here. and new users can't report scams within 2 weeks. So you should have a big warning on not to buy anything for 2 weeks. Unless, the ones of power are the scammers. But who knows. Why not add a ESCROW system to make this site actually legit.

 

Why cant you report scams with in 2 weeks? You have every right to instantly report when you have been scammed in the "Report a scammer" section.

 

No one does. How/why would people know "Who scammers are"... they would be banned if they are a known scammer with evidence against them? Also where is your source for those 2 statements?

 

Scams tend to be less effective when you know who the scammer is beforehand.

Not true at all. Very few might slip by the system but we have a detective who will find you and ban you.

 

If you mean using a third party payment system, we already have that. It's called middlemanning. Most people who get scammed here dont use it entirely or dont use it properly.

 

this should be in Suggestions and not feedback. Either way, no support. There’s an old saying that says ignorance is not an excuse. If someone breaks a rule on the website, and they’re not aware that they broke the rule, they will still get punished accordingly. Same applies to real life. In this instance, if someone doesn’t know how to report a scammer, there are plenty of people willing to help new users write a scam report. Just because a new user doesn’t know how to write a scam report, doesn’t mean people shouldn’t be able to trade with them.

 

if you use some common sense you can trade here without getting scammed quite easily. just use people with reputation and a good amount of vouches. there are plenty of people here that are trying to build something legit and have a good customer base and realize the opportunities here. mind you there are some big reputation people that scam quit or whatnot but that's bad luck if it happens. there's scammers everywhere not just on sythe. and there are plenty of good traders here i would trust with a nice amount of dollars.

 

I typically don’t buy accounts at all to lower risk of scams, and only buy/sell gold to established sellers with seniority and lots of vouches/great customer service. For services/account sales you just kind of have to have faith. My first 50 or so vouches were rough to get because no one wants to trade with a newcomer.

 

You don't really need escrow when you have MM available. And I doubt anyone would be willing to pay escrow fees vs free MM.

This site rather gain the occasional user and let scammers join than enforcing any restriction on the market that would in turn be a burden on new users (even if that burden would actually increase the chance a user stays on the site). Its hopeless arguing the point as they will hide behind their free market excuses while actively banning anyone who annoys them - Richard v. Butta as an example.

 

I have done plenty of legitimate trades with new users, some above 1k+ USD.

People need to utilize OMM's or trusted MM's more often to prevent this

 

I would like to pointout that alot of the "new users" you speak of have been longtime lurkers of sythe forums. don't know why i never made an account back in the day, i just didn't see a reason too.

If you come to the site & read the stickies, follow good trade policies & procedure and use a good human instinct not to trust people
you will do just fine on this website. I have done multiple trades, 11 in total, all of which have went well with no issues & a few of
them were account sales. You just have to try to evaluate who you're dealing with, and stay within good trade procedure and you
won't have to worry for anything.

There are scammers everywhere.

If you leave yourself in a wide open slot to be scammed by someone new-ish into the community, you are the same type of person
who would work for a company in real life that promises to e-transfer you payments or gets you to cash fake cheques, lol.

He showed more than enough money in his screeny of his bank app.

I went first in good faith. Not knowing the context and blatantly condemning me to be one of those “simpletons” isnt exactly proper now is it?

The funny thing about scythe is it still uses the traditional system/middleman system. If it changed to a buyer pays->automatic transfer of details then you lot wouldnt have all these pathetic people trying to scam 24/7 now would you?
