New High Dollar Donor Perks

"Upper" donor lounge - pointless in my opinion I really don't see enough traffic going into this lounge which would be any different than the one going into the current donator lounge, personally I believe its better not to implement another donor lounge.

Ability to post on scam reports - I don't support this its basically just buying your way onto the staff team and the input of a high donator will influence the communities opinion a lot about scam reports, for factors such as imposter dealings I honestly see no reason why it should have to be a donator option to immediately remove liability from yourself.

The other options seem good I know a lot would simply love the bigger pm space but other additions are always nice.

I'll suggest one how about wider signature options? I'm sure some people would love that option, it would allow you to fit more into that space.

 

I agree with all of those new perks, and I think it would be great to see them available to high level donors.

However "ability to post on scam reports" should be a definite no. Amount donated does not equate to intelligence or knowledge of scam related issues, and should no way give people the ability to add their input. That is a power that should be reserved solely for staff.

Other than that, everything looks great.

OMM's can post on scam reports as well, and they don't do so without good reason. I see where you're coming from, and I agree, however.

The main one I support as being able to post on scam reports, as most high donors are extremley trust worthy and very smart in the market it would be beneficial to have there opinion on complicated scams.
Personally, I would donate 500+ for that perk alone.

 

Get rid of the wait time (or reduce) when sending multiple PMs. Also on posts.

I support this in general! A longer character limit for user titles and ability to have a chance at getting your own fun rank at higher donation levels....sooooo tempting! ;D

 

I agree with x339 on the issue of being able to post on scam reports. No matter how much you have donated you still, in many cases, lack staff experience and we don't want the high donators 'muddying the waters', if you will, by manipulating community opinion. There is too huge a change for abuse and negative repercussions.

One of the things I really support is the decreased time in between searches, probably down to something like 10 seconds or so.

Another idea is more post icons or possibly a/multiple custom post icon(s), but nothing like admin or mod only post icons.

 

Upper donor lounge isn't a terribly good idea, the current donor lounge isn't even that active.

 

As said, the ads make sythe money, and they're not intrusive, so there's no reason to remove them.


Great update, I'm really glad you guys worked so hard on giving more incentive for higher donors. One thing I'm concerned about is whether this will kill the activity in lower-donor lounge. I know there aren't MANY high donors, but there's still a few, and it seems most of them are active in the donor lounge at the moment.

Everything else looks GREAT. Kudos on your hard work.

I think everything except the upper lounge is a great idea. I'd imagine the lounge to be completely inactive except for superman's cat pictures (pictures of himself of course) and an occasional thread about how great we are.

The "no time delay" is my favorite of the suggestions

 

Shortened bumping time for high donators? Like instead of 8 hours, maybe 6?

Not sure if these are offered for any donation-obtainable ranks as of now:

-Ability to delete posts by anybody on YOUR OWN threads.
-Ability to close/lock your own threads.
-Ability to delete your own threads.
-Ability to change the title of your own threads (currently have to report the post to have it changed).
-Ability to move your own threads.

Something to consider, just would make it more convenient if you need any maintenance done to your own threads, and having $300+ donator status would give access to those "stress-lifting," per say, perks.

 

I don't think buying the ability to bend the rules is smart because people aren't going to be satisfied with just that. You shouldn't be able to buy an advantage in the marketplace.

 

Mod abilities won't be given to users.

 

It isn't really mod-abilities if you think about it, it's just for your own threads. Not anybody else's. Just makes managing your own threads easier. Such as, if you need to update how much you've donated or how many vouches you have in your title, you can do so yourself. Or, if you need your thread closed after you make a sale (an account as an example), you can do so yourself. You aren't moderating anybody else, only your own threads.

 

It is mod abilities because it makes it a lot easier to cover up scams.
