    My Vista version ran out.
    As I type I am on my laptop. It came with Vista Home Basic and the Key has run out. The only way I am using it at the moment, is I went to buy a pin online, but I just typed in "Desktop" so I can access my computer fairly normally. The problem is that it logs off after about 45 minutes.

    Does anyone have a site for free Vista Keys or cracks or something I could use to fix this?

    Thanks.

    EDIT: If that is illegal, is there a way to load windows XP over the top?

    My Vista version ran out.
    Did you activate it?

    If you did, go to the shop there you bought the Vista Home Basic and ask them.

    Unless you can give me a specific serial and crack that will work don't post one of those Let me google that for you links.

    I looked everwywhere and tried many.
