I stalk the forums on the daily, even hourly, and am yet to see an offensive market place clogged with a few users dominating any particular section.

It isn't because we regularly moderate and usually delete multiple threads.

Ah point noted. OSRS section I see a lot of double posters, and its quite enjoyable, watching people put effort into 2 threads for 2 accounts. Its also a lot of extra activity and dedication to the site making threads.

I understand the issue of clogging, and if it gets uncontrollable, a one thread per section rule is of course necessary.

But for now I see it as more of a benefit to the seller, which should be the main priority of any marketplace restructure.

Either we set a global rule that only one thread allowed in selling/buying/trading forums per section unless otherwise specified, or in each section there has to be a sticky somewhere that notes whether you can have multiple threads or not. Currently, a lot of sections are a total grey area of whether you can post multiple or not.

Since I have a few minutes of free time here, I'll run through some sections and note whether they have rules regarding it or not.

RuneScape Gold Exchange

Since in every sub forum of this section there is really only one type of thread you can post, posting multiple threads would be breaking global rule Spamming: "Creating multiple threads advertising the same thing, regardless of the section".

RuneScape 3 Item Exchange

Not stated in any of the stickies in this section that you cannot have multiple threads.

However, buying/selling threads can easily be combined rather than having two separate threads, and currently a lot of users are following this precedent. Probably would not hurt to quickly add into one of the stickies in that section stating that if you are going to be buying and selling items, combine it all into one thread, just to save anyone from receiving any unnecessary infractions. Thoughts?

It is currently stated that you are only allowed to have one selling thread, and if you have multiple names to sell, combine it into one thread Name Sales Rules

Nothing mentioned in the stickies, but falls under global rule of spamming since there is only one type of thread you can post there.

Oldschool 07 RuneScape Skill Training

Nothing mentioned in any of the stickies, and since you can request training or offer training, multiple threads do not fall under the global rule for spamming.

Looks to me like allowing users to have two separate threads for requesting/buying and offering training services is more ideal compared to forcing users to combine it all into one thread. Thoughts?

No current rule or specification at all regarding if multiple threads are allowed.

Due to how many different private server accounts can be sold here, perhaps writing into the rules sticky that multiple threads selling different server accounts should be allowed. Thoughts?

Private Server Gold, Items and Misc

Currently there is a sticky proclaiming that multiple threads at once are not allowed, and everything should be combined into one thread. You may only have one active thread in this section at any time

Miscellaneous Runescape Related Trades

Nothing currently in any sticky regarding whether you are allowed to have multiple threads.

This section covers a broad spectrum of topics, and thus multiple threads should be allowed (given they are selling/buying completely different things), and perhaps this should be written into one of the stickies. Thoughts?

I'll stop there for now, as that encompasses the entirety of the RS market section. Let me know what you guys think.

i dont mind this approach. shouldnt take too long to go through and do this for all market forums imo
