Mormons?

Before, it stated in your Bible that black people are a lower life form or something (idk exactly...), but then it "vanished" from your Bible.

And like you have all these black people in the mormon church like wtf? lol

The people that come to your door early in the morning? I think their annoying

I appreciate your honesty.

So this living prophet, essentially a Mormon 'Pope' right? How does this prophet become appointed?
Yeah I guess the prophet could be considered the "Mormon Pope." The prophet is appointed by being the next in line leadership wise. We have a prophet, and then the Council of the 12 Apostles, and so on. Last year our current prophet died at the age of 97, and the next person in line became our new prophet.

Also, do you, as a Mormon, struggle with your own church doctrine? What specifically about your own belief system do you find hard to believe? I've known many Mormons who struggle to grip their beliefs, particularly the origins of Mormonism. (Joseph Smith being the only man to ever have seen the revealed word)
No, most of the time I believe in all of the doctrine of the church. However, I don't like going to church for 3 hours every sunday, (crazy eh)? and going on a 2 year mission to another country when I turn 19 is mind-boggling. But I honestly believe in the church by the feeling that I get when I read the Book of Mormon "our bible," so to speak, and attend church meetings.

There to strict.
Yeah, it is pretty strict, but you get used to it after a while:). And honestly, most of the strict things a smart person would do anyway (no smoking, drinking, premarital sex, ect.)

Um yeah, in the Book of Mormon, "our bible," so to speak, it tells about people that lived in the U.S./Southern America, I guess they could have been the Native Americans, but the good people were called Nephites, and had White skin, and the bad people were called Lamanites, and generally had darker skin, however, later the Lamanites became better then the Nephites and that didn't apply anymore. Does that answer your question?

The people that come to your door early in the morning? I think their annoying
Yeah, I guess:laugh: The men are supposed to go on missions when they turn 19 for two years to help spread the gospel and so that is why you've probably had those "annoying people" who come to your door early in the morning. Ha ha

you speaking for you family?
because your obviously not speaking for every mormon.
Yes, Trevor, I am speaking for every mormon. Some mormons used to be polygamists a hundred years or so ago, but now there are no polygamist mormons in our church anymore. Our church does not support polygamy anymore; however, there are polygamists in the FLDS church, (an offshoot of our church,) but no more in our church!:)

What do you think about Mormons?
Do you know what/who they are? Do you like them/dislike them? What do you think that their beliefs are? I am very interested about what other people think of us (I am a Mormon), and how people are reacting to the whole proposition 8 thing in California. Ask any questions that you want and I'll try to answer them as best I can.

And no, we are not polygamists! And No, we do not have horns! (I have no idea where that thought came from.)

I am Mormon as well (Not the most faithful one but still).
Most Mormons are great people, alot of them however are VERY judgmental, and think just cuz you've smoked a cigarette than you're a bad person or your going to hell.
Rediculous. That is NOT (In my religious views and beliefs) is what a mormon should be like.
Anyways I got to go, so I'll try yo check up on this later.

PEACE,

I totally agree with you. A lot of mormons are very judgmental, and it gets very annoying. Thanks for your comment, Rob

Jesus established one Church with divine authority, or so the Bible tells us. Do Mormons think that the Church that Jesus Christ himself established is capable of going astray?

ANYTHING is capable of going astray from it's original purpose.

Is that sarcasm?

Or do you believe now?

I'm being the Devil's Advocate.

And no, people can resist what's right and wrong, and follow the devil, which is going astray..

They cannot be led astray. The Son of God directly founded one Church, and said that the Gates of Hell would not prevail against it.

Unless God Incarnate was wrong, of course.

No, mormons don't think that the church that Jesus Christ established is capable of going astray. Why do you ask?
