Poem I wrote called Mischief Kids, C&C is always appreciated!
Two kids at the bar
Kicked out to the Scar
Cause young as they were
Children, if you prefer
Lovers all the same
Where trouble was their name
Had years to enjoy
Yes, that girl and that boy.
They were quite good friends
A friendship among trends
Perhaps even best
Or just better than the rest.
One day that old man
Yelled as loud as he can
At the two little brats
Who set free all the bats
In their lovely green bag
Right into the old man's drag.
But as time went by
The law became a spy
Their mischief going heard
Oh, quite absurd!
That childhood love going strong
Their first kiss was wrong...
The poor boy missed
Right when they kissed
Embarassed and blushing
There was no point in rushing.
They were perfect for one another
Or soulmates, rather
As when the years had gone
Something new was at the dawn.
See the boy at 30 age
Placed himself on the stage
Ring in hand, knee down
In front of her and the whole town.
A yes was soon heard
Cheers had then stirred
As they were now to be wed
So is spun the thread.
But as perfect as it seemed
When the wife had screamed
On a bed, twist and shout
And there it came out
A beautiful baby girl
With red hair in curl.
Holding the hand of the wife
Long and passed the strife
Of birth, and of pain
On this day of rain.
But here, she slept
For her daughter had kept
What life she had in her
And took it, as it were.
Crying beside that girl
The room in a twirl
The one with whom he grew
His heart now blue.
The image of a dead wife
Instilled now in this new life
For her he'd cherish and care
And keep that old mother's flair.
Through pain and tears
He'd ward off all her fears.
