mIRC is an Internet Relay Chat (IRC) client for Microsoft Windows, created in 1995 and developed by Khaled Mardam-Bey. Although it is a fully functional chat utility, its integrated scripting language makes it extensible and versatile.

mIRC has been downloaded over twenty million times from CNET's download.com service. Nielsen/NetRatings also ranked mIRC among the top ten most popular Internet applications in 2003

EnlightenMe - For showing me a good format to make my guide (I hope you don't mind me using it)

Definitely helpful for anyone that is new to the IRC. This was well written and you included everything a new person would need to know.

Do you know if some of these techniques, such as changing your font, apply to other IRCs? such as ChatZilla on Firefox?

Not to sure, but you probably could find away..I'll have a look if you like

Edit:

ChatZilla FAQ Website said:
4.2. How do I change the appearance of the message area?
There are a number of ways to change the appearance of the message area:
* The menu View►Font Family and Size lets you change the size of text and which font is used for most messages.
* The menu View►Color Scheme lets you switch between some built-in motifs - files which describe how to display the messages.
* Browse the motifs available on this website. When you've selected one you like, simply drag the name from the list onto ChatZilla.
* The ChatZilla Preferences let you configure the font family, font size and motif globally, per-network and per-channel, should you wish to vary the appearance between views.
