Lost a tooth from motorcycle accident and I'm unnerved

I'm actually more worried of the tooth that I lost, it's a incisor tooth so it's very noticeable. I also have some road rashes, a couple of deep ones on the face and around the mouth. My other upper front tooth is dislodged and the pain makes me want to pull it out myself but it could be saved with root canal surgery. Anyone here had lost a tooth (front ones), I will be wearing a partial denture or a flipper sooner but parents said we should wait until the swelling of my mouth is gone. It just made my low self-esteem worse.

But on the other hand, I'm happy that I only lost a tooth when I could have gone blind or lost a limb...

 

Hey man its good that youre able to see the positive of things. Are you okay otherwise? It seems you got kind of "lucky" as i've had friends who passed cus of motorcycle accidents. Keep us updated! I'm sure you're still a stud

 

You'll heal fine man! Athletes lose teeth so often, the replacements aren't even noticeable so don't fret about the tooth. Worry about resting and icing any swelling!

 

This, I'm pretty sure they can give you a fake replacement tooth. I'm glad to hear that you weren't seriously injured, remember to keep on truckin' man! Love your attitude towards the situation!

 

Thank you everyone, even though I've only lost a single tooth, it's still bothering me so much but other than that like I said I would have suffered a more severe injury so I'm glad this is what I only got. Hey at least if someone asks me how I lost my tooth, the answer would be much better because it's from an accident and not because I don't brush my teeth and have gum disease. I can't get dentures at the moment since my mouth is still swollen and when I try to talk the missing tooth isn't that noticeable unless I'm going to smile, which is something I can't do at the moment yet.

 

My wounds are almost healed up but my wounds in the lips and a big mouth sore is still a problem because I can't eat, I kept on thinking of my lost tooth and I wish I could turn back time. Just wanted to let this off my chest because it made my depression and low self-esteem worse.
