Ok,

I've had MANY surgeries done on my mouth so maybe i can help you here.

Is the hole black or red? Does it bleed often?

Did you cut your lip there by chance before the hole appeared. If you did, then this could be a bacterial infection. Which would explain why your glands became swollen. The infection most likely started to heal which would result, obviously, in the glands go down in swelling.

How deep is the hole? Is the hole actually inbetween your teeth?

If you could answer these questions i could help you further.

He isn't wrong, all he did was capitalize it, it still means the same thing. You actually used a different word. Instead of using been like "I've been there myself" you used bean like "If you eat a lot of beans your going to fart until you shit."
