Not suprised. Jagex are assholes hungry for money.
If the donations totaled 50k, that is money they definitely would have wanted.
If any of you recall the old p server Lostpkz, they made close to $40k before Jagex ended up taking legal action. I talked with the owners a lot during the process and the owners were lucky to avoid enormous fines.
50K is nothing though, lol. NRPK makes ~ $25k per month of donations. During Xmas/holidays, up to $35k.
Lostpkz you say? <.<
Ohai. Remember me? I'm still around. Whoever the owner of 06scape is doing it wrong.If any of you recall the old p server Lostpkz, they made close to $40k before Jagex ended up taking legal action. I talked with the owners a lot during the process and the owners were lucky to avoid enormous fines.

just some additional info posted by toil on baHello everybody, Toil here.
Yes, Toil, the person who hacked 2006Scape twice.
My say on this matter?
Vault isn't lying.
About a month ago I contacted vault, because of some logs on my apache server.
Code:/home/www/www.bugabuse.net/logs/access.log:11549:212.44.29.52 289 GET /tmp/runebit1.txt HTTP/1.1 302 1354277468 Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:9.0.1) Gecko/20111222 Firefox/9.0.1 http://www.yasni.ca/ext.php?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.bugabuse.net%2Ftmp%2Frunebit1.txt&name=Patrick+Chaloupka&cat=document&showads=1 -
What this means is;
212.44.29.52 - IP address that made the connection. This IP address is within Jagex's office range that I have accumulated over time.
The 'referer' was "yasni.ca" which appears to be a "people searching page" for Canada. And as you can see, "&name=Patrick+Chaloupka"
So they were looking up Vault on this website.
Now, the page they found was the 'www.runebit.com' forum database that I hacked in april.
Onto the next
Code:/home/www/paste.bugabuse.net/logs/access.log:40978:212.44.61.213 5140 GET /view/38035781 HTTP/1.1 200 1354622057 Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.11 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/23.0.1271.95 Safari/537.11 http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=facebook%20patrick%20chaloupka%20toronto&source=web&cd=2&ved=0CDYQFjAB&url=https%3A%2F%2Fpaste.bugabuse.net%2Fview%2F38035781&ei=eOS9UKIH4szRBevWgXA&usg=AFQjCNHGN2_txZbeC7H3_WQwuYE7jqPr4w -
212.44.61.213 - IP address
"q=facebook%20patrick%20chaloupka%20toronto" - What they searched (%20 is a space)
What they found?
They found my _full_ dox of Vault.. https://paste.bugabuse.net/view/38035781
epoch(unix time) converted to GMT: GMT: Tue, 04 Dec 2012 11:54:17 GMT
So this all happened around the beginning of December.
So yeah.
That's my view on this.
Vault isn't lying.
They really did go after him.
Also, proof I'm Toil;

Can't say I'm surprised all this happened, tho.
That email looks unprofessional and extremely unlikely to be from Jagex.
It is either a hoax someone made for lolz to make Jagex look bad, or it is Vault himself trying to deflect the blame from himself the the 10s of thousands of dollars he stole from people who really should have known better, this guy was involved in a similar scheme before IRC, and people have been saying this since 06scape started.
If Jagex was able to get private servers shut down, they would shut down the big ones like soulsplit and NRPK.
