Logical proof that God exists

Physically, yes, it can.

Yet, that's not the definition of necessary I'm using. Please, look on the last page to find it.

Necessary: It means that if something exists, it it impossible for it not to exist, and if it doesn't exist, then it is impossible for it to exist.

aka.

God, by definition, must exist.

I was brought up in a world of puzzles involving "this statement is a lie", and such. It's irritating to think that something simply surprising is a paradox.

This is not really "surprising" to me. It's just the basic idea of your *insert another word for "paradox" here* seems like it could be applied to many things. Simply put, it isn't really relevent in this type of argument despite the side you take in it.

For example, "If alliens don't exist, then their existance is impossible. Since it is POSSIBLE that they do exist, then they must exist."

Existence itself is the only "necessary" thing.

how is existance necessary? without the existance of one person, yes things may change, but everything still moves on.

how do they exist then? If aliens are not omnipotent/omniscient then it is possible that they do not exist, and that they possibly do.

It cannot be applied to many things. It can be applied ONLY to existence. If you had read the other posts, you would have seen that I made this point several times.

1). I'm referring to existence in general, not that of any one person.

2). Check out my definition one page ago.

Bah! Necessary, in this context, does not mean needed! It means that if something exists, it it impossible for it not to exist, and if it doesn't exist, then it is impossible for it to exist.

Impossible...

is this considered with time as a factor?

The problem with the argument is that you are focusing on a personal point of view, not indisputable facts - and you're presenting it as proof. The way I see it, is that you're twisting words to make it fit into the theory that God does exist.

The universe looks exactly like it would without a God: no rhytm, no right, no wrong, only our own perception of things. Our planet is nothing compared to the rest of the universe, and the rest of the universe is dark, cold and exist for no reason at all. Just huge clumps of rocks aimlessly floating the eternal space. Why would a God let it be that way? If I was God, I'd make the entire universe contain life forms of all sorts.

This does not refer to any specific God, but rather, a God without any attributes except for existence.

Anyway, how is my logic invalid? Can you point out specifics that make it so?

Because your argument is equivalent to saying that God exist because you can't comprehend the world as we know it without God. I just attempted to elaborate on why that is pure BS, because the truth is, that our existence is irrelevant, so is the universe's. There's no ultimate goal with life, no ultimate goal with the environment, no ultimate goal with anything. Our solar system is just floating around in the empty space, life on our planet comes and go.

Religion and the idea of God is just there to mislead people, giving them false hopes. Makes people believe that we aren't as pointless afterall.

He's not really. He's calling it God, and it mislead me at first...

But the God that he defines isn't the creator or personal god that we all know and deny.

Because your argument is equivalent to saying that God exist

I'm calling the one attribute I proved God. That's all.

I COULD say that you cannot comprehend the world as we know it WITH God, but that would be deviating from the logic I have presented.

Really? I didn't know that was an established scientific fact!

Or maybe some people believe because they don't find the concept of God to be illogical.

Now, again, with strict reference to the logic I have presented, why is it erroneous?

Oh, get over it. We have these kind of discussions all the time, and nothing untoward ever happens.

Anyway, let's think: Why would you hate Atheists? What logical reason do you have for having a feeling of anger and hatred towards those who think differently than you do?

Nah, Its not that I hate them. I hate Most of them, Mostly Because they talk bad about god and Jesus, Like I Read a Userbar saying if Jesus came back he'd kill him again..

i don't know why people make threads like this
but this is what the concept is

Relgious people beleive in GODS! Not God, because everyone has their own beleifs.

Fools/Emos/goths/Anti-Religious people are idiots, which have no faith and beleive in everything we don't, People like them will find out what happens when they die, (although no one knows).

And umm personal jesus, your emo, go worship satan, that's god, he might punish you now because your saying God doesnt excist

no one really knows, so i don't know why you bother

its all about

FAITH.

And how many atheists do you actually know in real life? Most of us are not such idiots.

No. Fail. Faith is intellectual bankruptcy, to quote Dan Barker. It's basically, "Oh, I don't know, but I'm just going to believe in it anyway".
