Limited PayPal Donation Rollout

Donate 13M then through PP

 

Hooray! So many denied suggestions and now this!
I Am eligible, and will be donating $25 right away. Hopefully with this new update comes new donation perks!

Good stuff. Donated $100 through paypal and my rank was applied instantly and automatically by the system.

 

I don't understand why I am not trusted enough

 

It's based on current donator status, don't feel bad.

 

imo it would be better if the rules were to become more flexible once you finalize the system:

either you are a 1 year member with 300+ posts or 6 months with 1000+ posts or already a $25+ donator

edit:

i dont actually like this update to the donation system because it removes the "sunk cost" aspect of getitng a donator rank.

what if someone pays 13m for a $5 donator rank, then PP's a further $95 to get $100 rank. With that he/she will be considered trusted and can convince people to go first/trust on paypal to scam them. This will go on until they get banned, at which point the chargeback the $95 and effectively bought "trust" to scam people for a mere 13m rsgp.

one way to sovle this issue is that for "untrusted" members, paypal donations only get added to their donator rank once the 45 day chargeback window is over. but then again, who would want to wait 45 days for their donation to show up?

 

Wow very nice. Thought this was never going to come back. Instead of 1 week through mail I can donate without all that wait. xD I hope this new system will help solve the past problems of those pricks who chargebacked donations...
..which is considerably the stupidest thing ever. Still will have to do whatever you can about that.

I just used it and i am amazed! No more 4 day wait! as soon as i paid i got an instant PM from matthew and it wasnt INSTANTLY credited to my account.

Agreed. We don't want new members, come and donate $200 with a stolen paypal, scam $500 and then chargeback the whole thing.
