Just to Clarify

In the old system, you could reply to any customer so long as you don't double post.

Obviously blatant abuse should still be punished. If User A is having a pointless discussion on the thread with User B, the posts should be warned/infracted.

 

I disagree, it will cause too much bumping.

If you want the old rule back I guess you can make a thread in the suggestion section, but I'm sure it was changed for a reason in the first place.

Its not hard to play by the rules if the rules weren't iffy.

 

Then either make this rule black and white or change the rule back to what it was before all this mess happened. I know it is easier said than done, but if it is causing this much drama something needs to be done about it.

 

I vote we go back to the old system, infractions will be handed out for obvious bumps and unneeded responses.

I still think things like Added, thanks and things like that are unnecessary spamming. Why do you need to post added 30 times when you could just edit your last post, it is just as good as posting.

 

Replying to customers should be fine imo

But thats just it, its not fine.. you abuse the ability to respond to customers to get a bump, for example.. you bump your post, 3 hrs pass and then someone posts on your thread a vouch for trading with you, then 2 more hours pass (so thats 5 hours from your bump) and you post 'Thanks!'

you don't have to be a rocket scientist to realise that you're just abusing the fact you could reply to customers to get another bump, its not necessary, 'Thanks' get said on MSN or PM.

 

I agree with Karl, the old rule will not be clear enough and hard to check for what purpose someone is posting (bumping, vouching, thanking, whatever).

IMO a rule for 1 post per 8 hours regardless of the contents is absolutely fine.

 

Karl's right, most of the time people know what they're doing, they just do it anyway to get a free bump. It isn't fair on other buyers/sellers if they stick to the 8 hour rule and the other doesn't. And as for saying things like "thanks" and "you're welcome!", all of these things can be said over MSN, Skype, AiM, Sythe PM and even vouch threads, there's no need to post it on the service thread.

 

Yeah because the current rule is so clear.


Laptop it is not an unfair system is everyone is following the same rules. Those who are more active on their thread should always stand above the rest. If you were worried about people abusing it for post count just get rid of post count in the market completely.

 

FireZ, would it be kept at 8h, or changed back to 24? As 24 really sucks for large teams :3
