The only way they could sue is if they based it on fucking up runescape economy which they would have to consider rsgp's dollar value for and since RS doesn't allow RWT this goes against their own ToS. Also I know for sure paypal isn't allowed to give personal information unless it has to do legally and no court in any country would give a warrant to get the email addresses for an email data base unless they can connect it to fraud. Also unless they can prove how much money has actually been lost due to mass botters a court order in most countries will be useless. Also I'm almost positive RS is using the linked emails on runescape accounts not the paypal emails.

If anything RS is targeting the mass botters (companies) who had 100s of bots in f2p worlds. They aren't going after individuals such as us and I highly doubt any court can seat 100k+ people for a lawsuit.

 

Finally someone who is making sense intelligence seems to be far and few on this topic. they believe what they hear blindly even though it came from the people being accused lol.

Absolutely true. Jagex wouldn't take thousands of 12 year olds to court unless it's over the course of a few years. If they do, how do they choose who they are taking to court and who they aren't. To what extent must you have botted in order for them to say, "Okay, I'll be taking you to court." or "You didn't bot to this extent, so you don't deserve to be taken to court."

Even if PayPal agrees to giving Jagex all of the email addresses who purchased botting licenses, WHO THE FUCK CARES? You can't take me to court for buying a botting license until you can prove I used it? I can buy whatever the fuck I want. In the USA, THIS IS A FREE MARKET ECONOMY. Shut the fuck up, Jagex.
