Item Lending Glitch Thread

I'm pretty sure i've found a glitch. I've been revising it since lending first came out, and I can finally test it today. I'll let you guys know how it goes.

also - has anyone tried dying in the abyss, and getting someone to repair you're grave?

 

yep it got patched once u die your item gets sent back to the original owner...

 

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but those of you who wonder what happens when you break a loaned axe because of an ENT, here's a screenie.



I used oaks because I heard you get nests/ENTS faster with them.

 

i need some 1 to verify if this works, you have to be in a members world i think, lend some 1 a dragon scimmy, for 1 hour, have the person u lended discard, wait 1 hour, the item is deleted.

 

that makes no sense at all if the rules are that when dropped the item goes into the owners item lending place where he picks it up at the bank. not too shure if thats it or not but could also be that u cant drop it. either way i know that your method is too simple and will not work.

 

Well I found something out. Eariler I payed somebody to lend me their bgs for 1 hour and at the last minute I just kept the discard messege up. While i had the discard messege up I could keep the bgs for as long as I kept the discard messege up. However, when I moved, or tryed to wield it, or basically anything else, it would just go back to the owner.

Well Im a complete idiot...and i doubt this will work...but just brainstorming..
If the times are off by like that exact minute..would it be possible for someone that still has a wildy skull to die within like the last 15-20 seconds..and then have someone repair their grave? but that would require exact timing..and would be extremely hard..but idk its possible..

 

when u die the item gets sent back to the owner i think. it may work but i tihnk jagex is smarter than that, wish they werent tho,lol. in thorey it could work because the stone would protect the item from going to the owner but as soon as u pick it back up it could go str8 back to the owner, or when its on the ground it could turn into ur item or it could dupe and be yours and the owners.

 

can anyone helm me? i need like 4 or 5 people, i think i have found a glitch

Uhh, here's an explanation to save you some time:

Let's say I lend you item ID 1000
It turns into ID, lets say, 1039.
I have one in my lending box thing that's, lets say, 1040.

Item ID 1000 disappears, and ID 1039 has limits.

Whenever the person gives it back, it checks to see if the other person has 1040, and if the borrower has 1039, then combines them and sends them to the lender.

There is no logical way to "duplicate" the item, because it checks to see if both of the new IDs are available then turns it back to the original item ID.


This is the reason why jagex can't do ALL of the items at the same time, and only has SOME items lendable.

I think I may have found a solution.... I know for a fact that everything "switches to the next day" at around 6:35 PM Central Time.

When this happens, the following gets reset:
Kingdom of Miscellania has items waiting for you
You can buy battlestaffs from zaff in varrock
*Your days as a member decreases by one (not confirmed yet)
You can buy more seaweed/pinepples from the guy at the port south of catherby

Now what if you was still a member on your last day and someone loaned you something, like a GS for 2 hours and he loaned it to you at 5:35 PM Central Time. Your membership would expire and you should still have the members weapon on f2p BUT it's still uncertain to me if you continue to keep it after the loan time expires...

 

Yeah, I did the gs thing 4 times with ags, too bad they fixed it or I coulda done more XD

 

So...what is your method?

And I believe other people have tried the abyss and failed.

 

i doubt there will be any more glitches for a while...

 

1. Lender lends item
2. Borrower equips item and opens House Options
3. Lender logs
4. Borrower is tele othered somewhere
5. Borrow lets self log out of inactivity
6. Lender logs back in
7. Borrow logs back in

Would this work possibly?
