Is using breaks really more dangerous than suiciding?

I read somewhere that suiciding was safer than breaks--I want to know if this is true.

Can someone explain the logic behind this to me? I thought the point of using breaks was to imitate how a human plays rs. Going to the bathroom, getting a bite to eat, etc, etc.
How can jagex know you're botting more if you use breaks?

Personally I don't use breaks. I think they are somewhat useless and the bot seems to mess up a lot on them. But some people use em and never get banned. Its a personal preference.

Yea, but i'm baby sitting my bot, and i'm using it on my main. Knowing which of the two methods will least get you detected would be beneficiary, for me.

If you break for a long period of time, for example sleeping it is more believable that you are legit.

But taking a break every 2 hours will seem odd.

But I've been doing that my whole rs career, lol. I have a short attention span, sadly--not to mention i get bored easily! I've been playing rs for 30 mins than going off to do something else for years. But i think i get what you mean. Most players play almost the whole day... and breaking every 30 minutes would seem strange.

It really depends on what you're botting. For example, if it's kMiner in the LRC, you can pretty much run 24/7 without begin caught, since it's a huge mess and it's hard to tell the bots away from the legit players. However, if it's something in a deserted area, such as hunting, it would be best to take moderate breaks. By breaks, I don't mean once every 45 minutes ... I mean you should attempt to imitate a human, and play 10 hours straight with a two hour break in the middlel.

what i do is bot like 8 to 10 hrs during the day and then its like a human cause u played all day and you go to sleep. simple.

They can't 'detect' the breaking system, but they can look for patterns.

Suiciding is ALOT more dangerous than taking breaks, look at it logically, does playing 24 hours a day without logging out look more suspicious than playing 24 hours a day with 4/5 hours worth of breaks and log outs? Yes.

Don't kid yourself. Once you find yourself locked in the game you don't leave!
You'll play 3-6 hours thinking only a single hour went by.

So if your playing 3-10 hrs without breaking, it's not suspicious considering gamers get tranced into their games. I'll throw in a random 10min break after 2-5 hours of play. Then once I'm done for the night I'll turn it off for an hour. Then have it play again for 4hrs or so then turn it off for a long period of time giving the feel that I'm gone (school/work) even though I'll just set up a dif account. Also I give my guys 1-3 day breaks of just not loging on or maybe loging in for an hour.


See suicide 10+ hrs on the daily is rarely human, and when they check your logs to see you repeating the same functions over and over it's quite obvious.

and using a determined breaking system will show a pattern of breaking within certain periods of times, and when they check your logs and see your function patterns and your log out patterns it shows bot activity. No one plays this game for 20hrs and takes 4hrs to piss, eat, and sleep then repeat on a daily bases.

1. turn your chats and trades to off or friends.

2. don't add anyone that will report you, it's best to have botting friends and family only

3. Don't bot every single fucking day. Play the game legit for an hour or so so that way your functions aren't all the same. Obviously your botting if you do nothing but burn logs for 3weeks straight....do you know how boring that is!!!!

if you are baby-sitting the bot at all time, just suicide it.
if not, use breaks as they do make it a lot safer, i believe.

It depends how many hours a day you would be botting with breaks. If your botting 24 hours a day with breaks, what's the point? Jagex will still know you bot by seeing that your pretty much playing 24 hours a day (assuming your breaks are all < 1 hour.

It also depends on what you are botting. Let's say you're botting soul wars.. breaks are a horrible idea. Why? Because your bot can't recognize to take a break after a game if it's almost over. You can be winning a game with 1 minute left and than all of a sudden you get logged off because it is time for a break. This looks really suspicious if it is constantly happening.

Personally, I never use breaks not because I think they will get you banned but because I think they're a waste of time. The reason I think so is because it's just to easy to tell a botter from a non-botter with or without breaks. You still have the same chance of being banned with breaks or w/o, in my opinion...

If you set or use break always set them for automated RANDOM times... for instance If you are botting and you have breaks set for 15min break every 2 hours it will take a break for 15min every 2 hours... that is like saying HEY I AM BOTTING in an e-mail to jagex... I personally think that if you have a bot and are using it then not setting breaks would be best besides they are bound to mess up at some point and log you out so BAM you have an automated break that immitates a human...

Botting is never safe. Getting banned is all about luck. Maybe the person using breaks was botting in front of a Jagex mod, then automatically assumed it was the breaks.

Just to let you know there is a person who is famous for playing RS 8+ hours a day for 365days straight... not ever missing a day and not ever going under 8 hours play time in a day.... If that person was not banned for botting then I think that Jagex has auto mated systems that detect botters so there might be a little bit more to it then not botting for multiple days in a row... 365 days 8+ hours a day... WOW... thats insane... and would seem like a bot to me...
