I think this has been said before, but for lack of a better word they use rape. By LAW its Statutory rape, even if he or she agrees to the sexual activity. This is often based on a presumption that people under a certain age do not have the capacity to give informed consent.

So legally, it is rape.

Though hardley anyone abeys by the under-age-sex law. Usually the consiquences of under age sex is a fine... For rape, it's up to 15 years in jail.

If the guidelines are set then it must be followed, yes its trying to simply protect people who are very much older from commiting this crime, but the only reason he was facing charges is because the girls family, or the girl herself reported... therefore the consent can not have been as the boy may claim.

Ok you have sex with an underaged girl and she wants it.(hopefully you are underaged aswell or you could be doing some serious time) Her parents find out, they call the police and press charges.... these cases are because of the parents.

I am a Catholic with high morals, and personally, I belive the kids should be fined, both the underage kid and the 17 year old. This will teach them that it is not ok to have sex as if it is as common as brushing your teeth. It will screw with their lives later on, and that is too much of a burden to put on most 18 and under age kids. I know that many kids lose their virginity at age like 13 or 14, and that is really sad to me.

4) Once you have sex with someone it really changes the wya you act towards one another, just friends don't have sex, and if they do, it really does change the realationship.

Now, to you readers who are rading this and disagree with me, so be it, but this is true to most people, and it is something good to live by.

I lost my virginity at 14, and I think it had a great effect on my life. I learnt to appreciate women more, act more mature and more about my sexuality. It has had no negative effects on my life. It in no way has or will screw my life later on, and is totally fine.
