In my state of Michigan, any peoples under the age of 18 can consent under no punishment from the law. However any adult over 18 cannnot consent with a pertner under the age of 18.


So what your saying would not be rape in my state, I think that all consentual sex should be un-punishible unless it is incest, or any other sick things.

It's not rape as far as I'm concerned, as long as she was willing..

I feel bad for both of them, honestly.

When I was 15, I was dating an 18 year old, and I didn't feel like we were that far apart(agewise).

Now I'm 16, and I dated a 14 year old, and I feel the same way.

So wtf? Age is just a number if you ask me.

I find it more wrong when 50 year old rich guys date hot 18 and 19 year olds.

It's different in the fact that they dont feel a girl/boy under 16 is developed enough to be sexually active. But yeh the fact that 18 yr olds fuck 50 yr old dudes coz of money or other things is more wrong.

Mm, no.. The limit for statitory(spelling?) rape is below 16 to above 18.. 17 year olds can only have sex with 16 year olds legally with consent from both parties.. and sex with 18 year olds if they consent to the act.

If a 15 year old and a 17 year old have sex then it is statitory rape because the 15 year old is not yet age of consent..same if a 16 year old and a 15 year old had sex... it would still be statitory rape because the age of consent is 16.

Now, if two people under 15 have sex and both consent, then the matter is up to the parents to settle, not the courts.


When it comes to over 18 having sex with 17 this can happen because age of consent is again 16.. It is frowned upon however, and can easily result in a jail sentence for the ofage person should any words be relating or asscertaining to rape..

A 15 year old having sex with a 3 year old is not an offence believe it or not (it's weird) but if the three year old says yeah that they wanted it.. it's really up to the parents to settle.. It's MAJORLY bad.. but that's how the court works..
