No more glasses, I'm free!!!!! Eye surgery went well

Like I cant read some things that are a meter away, I have been told to wear glasses but never did, I had the option of what you just got done, does it hurt or what?

I just got it done yesterday, and yeah it's quite painful. If given the chance to go back and do it all over again, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

I can't see perfect YET, but the improvement already is dramatic. I can't wait until I'm fully recovered.

How long were you under the laser for and what was your vision before surgery? Did you have an astigmatism?

 

Under the lazer time is like 10 seconds per eye (depending on how extreme the correction needed is, could be more/less)

I was damn near blind before the surgery (like 20/400), and yes I had an astigmatism.

 

Congratulations! My grandma had eye surgery too, she wasn't allowed to look at at ANY light for around 1-2 days.

 

Won't this have an effect on your military career?

I know that we have a 6 month leave period, depending on the surgery.

 

It's just corrective surgery. A week of con leave, and a month of a damn near deadman profile.

Grats, I hate wearing glasses, so I wear contacts, but they are still a bother..

 

I'd be scared as hell to do eye surgery. I love my contacts. Congrats to you though.
