All i can suggest is to remember the good times you and her spent together, talk about your feelings about her passing with people close to you and people that were close to her. Ontop of talking about her or thinking about her you should also go out and get your mind off of things as much as you can, it never hurts to have a little break from stress/problems. Death is an invevitability for everyone.

Wow bro, my dad told me about when his mom passed. He was there at her final breathe, told him that he was the best son she could of brought up, and said that she wished she was a better mom when he was young. It took a few months for my dad to get over it, he even quit his job (I suggest you don't do that) to settle the papers etc. Just remember bro, life must go on, and no one lives forever. Stay motivated and do things you love doing, best of luck!

Try and get out and ignore it, eventually, you'll stop mourning her death. Do remember the good times and don't ever think of the bad ones. If you think of the good times and try and ignore the bad thoughts, you won't be used to thinking about them. My condolences, Take care man. Let us know how you're doing! :)

I agree with leanbean.

I disagree with Justin.

Don't ignore it, address it through talking to friends and remember the goods times as leanbean said. Find a hobby, and try to stay busy.

Never had anyone close to me pass away, but I really do dread the day when my grandma goes.

Just think of all the good times you had with her, i know these things suck but man thats life and we live everyday and have a risk of dieing in so many possible ways thats why if you love someone show it and don't stop loving them till the day you die.

I don't think that there's a direct answer to that question; it just happens naturally IMO.

A relative of mine passed away last august, and I'm getting over it. I can't say how, it just happens.

Note) it's okay to cry

It really depends, if he keeps thinking about it 24/7 he might never get over it, if he learns to ignore it (Not ignore it, but like try and not think a lot about it) then eventually he can move past it. It's the way like works, You said "Find a hobby, and try to stay busy." Which is basically what I meant by "Ignore it", because of the fact that if he does things to try and keep his mind off of it, eventually he can move on. Let us know how you're doing Kushberry! :)
