How to change colors in CMD(Command Prompt)

Guide all in 1 step(Windows 7)

First, we need to open CMD..

Either click the Windows Symbol in the bottom left, or press the Windows Symbol on your keyboard. Now where it says "Search programs and files" type "CMD"



Now, obviously, click "CMD" under "Programs".. This will open Command Prompt.



Now type "Color help" and it'll give you a list of all the colors.



First color will be the text, second will be the background.

So for example, I want Black text on a Yellow background I will type "color 60", or if I wanted Light Purple/Green I'd type "color d2"



Just experiment around with it and find some cool colors.

Q. Does this work with Vista/XP?
A. Works with XP, should work with Vista.

Q. Do the colors save so everytime I reopen CMD it has them?
A. No, you'll have to re-enter "color xx"

Q. What is the point in this?
A. Not quite sure. It looks cool.
