Cmd Not Working..

Hello everyone and i bring this to my concern that my cmd wotn work..
i go to runa nd type in cmd and whenevr a type in a working command like net user or ipconfig, it says (first word of command) not recignized as a internal ro external command... i went the start -> right click on my computer -> properties -> advanced -> enviormental variabled -> edit path a wrote in: C:\WINDOWS\System32 and clicked ok,and when i try cmd again...still wont work! WHAT DID I DO WRONG?!:'(

What version of windows are you using?

 

Extract your Cmd to your desktop and try again.

 

i am using window XP home edition

 

and extracting it to desktop didnt work..

 

Are you a administrative user?

 

Happened to me for awhile... Dunno y... i had to cd to the system32 to use anything... then i sent my comp in for fixxing, and they wiped and shit and it worked after that... :/

 

how much did they charge you SuF? like, everything normal i need works, all i need cmd is for...EVIL purposed..."lol", but i also need to find out my LAN ip adress, any alternative way how?

 

Click the Start button and right click Computer and select manage. Does it ask for login credentials? If so you are not logged in as an administrator.

 

i did click manage, it opens up this thing which is called computer managment

 

Make sure your logged in as administrator.

 

i am signed in as admin!!!

 

Try C:\Windows\system32\cmd.exe

 

Apologies for the double post, but. Your autoexec.nt file has more likely become corrupt (probably some (anti)spyware or (anti)virus). Copy a clean version from the Windows CD or another computer.
