How do impersonators get our contact

in last month, ive noticed 4-5 adds of high ranking gold members adding me. Clearly not being in the market currently, its easy to tell, they're looking for victims.

Decided to add one and tell him 500 pounds is otw to his bitcoin ID, then toyed around for awhile, but eventually ended up asking how much they made, he said 200m-1b+ 07 gp a day

but my reason for posting is 2 questions.

1. How are they getting my discord or others discords? Do they really crawl the website for hours, I feel like in this age where recaptcha can be passed, would a website crawler be looking for discords and making an easy text file for them to add all the potential victims? is there way to stop these annonying adds?

2. lmfao, how are people literally still this stupid, I get luring scamming maybe 2012 maybe 2014 but how could you not know.
