I tend to agree with Spyike. Trying to force your homosexuality on other people by trying to shoot holes in their arguments just makes you look just as stupid and ignorant as the people flaming this thread .

He wasn't forcing his homosexuality on anyone. Is it wrong to defend your beliefs around here now? It's not his fault there are so many ignorant and uneducated people responding here.

I don't think it should be a problem to be honest, we're living in a society which is gradually becoming more acceptable to different cultures and habits, for example Tattoos. As less as five years ago people would be shunned and labelled in a way which opposed the normal society, but in more recent times people are covered in them.

As for the gay marriage topic, I don't see why that's a problem also, if I'm not mistaken it's illegal in some states/countries? As I said we're living in a more accepting society so I don't understand why it isn't legal everywhere, yet.

Anybody should have the right to defend their country regardless of their sexuality. If the army allows ignorant people to judge people based on the sole factor of their sexual orientation they they don't have enough common sense or maturity to serve their country, in my opinion.

Homosexuality goes against the laws of nature. If was intended to be so, then humans would be able to reproduce homosexually. Don't try to tell me that, "its a natural thing." If you look at nature you would never see two male bears humping each other. A sexual union between a MAN and a WOMAN is the only natural way for humans to reproduce.

You're quite ignorant then. Homosexuality is present in animals/nature, and has been for quite a while. You arguments aren't very effective when you're wrong, you know. And as far as I'm concerned, it IS a planned part of nature. Population control.

So if someone's ideals contrast with your ideals he/she is now ignorant? The sexual orientation factor is NOT a null point. Understandably, one may feel uncomfortable with homosexuals and might create a note of disharmony.

There are numerous incidents from both combat and non-combat situations reference gays impacting the infantry fight and unit operations. This is why the US military is changing the direction reference gays due to ground truth and review of these incidents which have actually resulted in loss of life. In short, yes gays typically are less aggressive and too sensitive for stressful battlefield conditions. Argue all you want, I've seen it with my own eyes.

If somebody is too timid for fighting, they shouldn't be fighting. I don't disagree with this, but why shouldn't this be dealt with on a purely individual basis? If a homosexual male is completely able to fight, why should he be prevented from doing so simply because homosexual males have a statistical tendency to be worse fighters (even if we assume that this is true)? The same can be said for women, if a woman is able to fight, let her fight. Placing people in arbitrary groups does not serve a useful purpose for rating people's ability to engage in combat; every individual should be assigned a task according to their own talent.

Marriage - No problem, I think it's completely ok for a gay couple to get married.

Military - I think they should have the right to fight for a country if they want to. However, I agree with what somebody posted before about them having to sleep in the same room as straight guys. Maybe they should have separate rooms for gays?

Talk to your Congressman.. A decision has already been made reference Gays in the military.

As per the "reasoned argument", please post your real world experience concerning the topic of my post; Gays in the military? Are you Gay? Are you a Gay soldier? Are you or have you ever been a soldier? Then please explain to me how you would even consider to understand the issues and/or impacts? Thanks for your well informed post..

I use Finn as an example of the typically drama queen who recently posted an image of himself pole dancing. These are the gay public acts that impact much of the reasons why gays are looked down upon. Once you find yourself in that situation, you'll quickly change your point of view. You see this is what this is really all about.. 90% of the comments in this section come from kids who have yet to even understand/experience the "real" world they live in.. Oh yes, I know.. Once you hit 13 you think you know it all. Your first year of college your ready to change the world. Fact is, this subject of gays in the military is something you have no experience and/or "real" knowledge on. A decision was made reference gays in the military for a reason.. Research that and then come back to tap out a few lines from Google.
