Heavy gambling addiction

my problem is i cant watch something without betting on it and it always effects me i lose like thousands a day
like nba or esports or football i cant physicall watch the games unless theres money on them or else i find it useless to watch
last week i was up 2500$ on the nba and then went all in on a 1.70$ horse thats never lost but it lost by like 2 centimetres when i had money on it now i am continuously trying to make back that money and just keep digging a bigger hole any tips?

Just stop it aint worth it minimalize your loses and move on

 

Update, stopped betting irl had a feeling i was lucky go to duel arena, turned 2b into 3b, pulled out thought i was better then gambling, but then you realize u cant leave.
Turned 3b into 0m, took 650m in loans, lost that and i'm desperate rn

House always wins. You learnt a good lesson. Can't buy a bag of experience from Tesco. Lesson in itself was an assest, learn from it and move on.

I was stuck in Macau age 20, just put my last $900 on pocket QQ queens in poker pre-flop, other kid had nines, flop came 4s9c2h. He took me for every cent I had.

Left with nothing haha. Looking back it's fucking funny. Won't gamble again.

I'm aware of the fact that other users have already provided you with useful resources- but you basically just described the catch of gambling.

They basically let you win like once, after a fuckton of attempts, and then you are basically supposed to take the bait and try to win your losses back.

when ur down you always think your down and you have to make what you lost I think the best way is to think about how much you can walk away regardless of being up/down that way you can still bet without the addiction but also in a smart way

there will eventually be a breaking point, ipker. For me, when I started to develop a gambling addiction (after already losing $500), I made the step to buy myself a staker account. Boom $200. Next, I needed GP. Boom $500. I lost $100 the night before on a rental account so to make that up I needed to win a SINGLE $100 stake, right? Boom, another $100. Let me go buy more GP. Back to $500 worth of GP. As I wake up and get ready for a day of staking, I realize my account's banned. I realized that I lost $200 + $500 overnight by just letting my account sit there - and that's not even counting what I had lost previously (well over $2,000). Eventually, there will be a breaking point. Try your hardest to not get there, but while suffering from a gambling addiction, you won't know until you actually are. Stay away from the duel arena or whatever the hell you do. Sell your rs profits instantly. Put your money in stocks, bonds, buy nice speakers, anything. Fuck your gambling addiction.

 

I wouldn't really say I have quite of an experience with gambling problems over a long period, but it comes in bouts. Yeah, make money and don't you fucking dare bet it. If you don't bet it there will be no risk to even chance feeling 10x worse...

My gambling addiction is strictly on Runescape, I'll have a 500m, 1B, 2B, 3B bank(amount irrelevant). I know inside I have enough to play or sustain myself easily. I realize I should be grateful for having what I have and then one day. I'll forget what I have with the fantasies of having much more and I'll gamble it. I'll win some, and then lose. When I lose is when I think I don't care at all any more so I resort to doing massive gambles and ultimately getting rid of everything and in the end feeling much worse. What I come to realize through after so many times I've lost it all is that it came down to my desire to have more "now". I opened my eyes to the understanding of Einsteins definition of insanity and from that came more understanding that all I have to do to have more is simply work more.

 

Many friends of mine has your same problem. I would really like to help them

My use of this site is almost exclusively gambling. The best way to cope with the addiction is just like any other: reduce the amount you partake.

Compare it to smoking, when you smoke your first cig you get lightheaded and it makes you feel good. That's why you smoke, but if you do it too often you become numb to it. Take a break from gambling, and when you come back small bets will feel like the bigger ones. The "rush" you used to get from betting 1k comes back when betting 100 after a month hiatus.
