Sythe + Matthew > admins > globals > sectionals > hahanerd > everyone else

That's been the structure forever.

 

"Head mods" were a thing back in 2007 and 2008 briefly, and they were frivolous. I don't see head admins being any better.

The current tier system of admin > global > sectional has proven to be the most effective method of staffing over the years.

 

I think that this is the one thing that Sythe.org has been missing for all of these years. This is sure to revitalize the forum.

 

man ive seen some stupid fucking idea but this is top tier good stuff 100% A+ keep up the suggestion work fam, can u really believe we went all this time without knowing who the head admin is no wonder morale is so shit, all this time we thought ppl were pissed cause of shrimpy-dick syndrome but its actually just been a confusion about ranks fam holy shit nice job (party)

 

This idea was suggestion, Some of you may or may not think it's a good idea, I've never seen Matthew really do the responsibilities an Head admin would do, don't get me wrong on this either, Matthew is a great staff member, he just does great things to implement Sythe such as the user CP for donating, mini ranks, etc. as for Richard, he's the owner of this website, he needs a #2 incase he's not on, away, or even if the specific thing hasn't came to his attention.
Govind was in tier 1 himself and was considered a "Special Administrator" he was always one step higher than the regular admins and everything was fine then,

Special Administrators are responsible for distinctive tasks which are not always visible to ordinary users. They are ordered here by seniority.

They can be a help to Sythe himself and help him do anything behind the scenes that the other Administrators aren't responsible/have access of doing.

 

Don't feel offended man. The admin system essentially has no flaws at this moment and their group is so small and exclusive that most of their decisions are made together and their work is done collaboratively.

 

Even if this suggestion got approved I wouldn't expect it to take place immediately, I just think it's a great idea and it would push the admins more to work towards something else (not saying they do a bad job cause they don't)

If Sythe didn't get this rank wouldn't people assume he is under the "head admin"?

 

But what, let me know if this is a stupid idea, what if we make even more new ranks for people like sythe and matthew?

 

I'm pretty sure I speak for all when I say this, but if sythe didn't have 'director' in his user title the only thing that would make members think he's the owner of the website is the name, if his user was 'Richard' and not 'Sythe' 80% of the new registered members wouldn't know who started sythe

 

@Excelont also has director as his UT.

 

Yeah but excelont is a mod, it really wouldn't add up for players to assume he's running Sythe.

 

What about Manager?

 

I feel like manager would have to have more responsibilities with different and more tasks/assigned things to do. I doubt they'd add that rank.

 

I still don't get why this is still up for discussion honestly. The admins and staff have no problem with it and your reasonings are steering way clear of what you originally wanted.

 

Definitely not even needed, too many ranks is too much hassle and I don't see anyone having a problem w/ how it is now

 

Paraphrasing Sythe, it's better to have an Admin team who are seen as equals, so he may be called on when/if necessary as the arbiter of last resort.
