Guys iam addicted to dicing??

Well title basically says it all ...
I was addicted when dicing was in rs ...
When it got removed i moved to an irc dicing clan chat..
I won Alot ( For me atleast ) that was about 70 - 80M
then i didnt even enjoy it because i have this sound in my head
I always say i dont want to dice my bank . Then i end up Losing my bank and having 10K bank ....
When Eoc was introduced i moved to play Rsps . Nothing stopped there
I started with Soulsplit and got up to 4B bank by dicing
15 MInnutes later i staked it all and lost it ...
Moved To grinderscape
Just got cleaned for around 9 - 10B bank which is 10M eoc Gp

Its really not that much of an addiction. No offence to my friend.... In the donor lounge hes lost $100+ but he always loses and wins but he keeps going no matter what. Not sure if 10m eoc is really alot compared to what some of us have lost. Ive lost about 2b eoc gp..

 

I've lost around 50$ and I don't even dice often on here. I would say no to any further gambling, honestly there's a reason why you can't gamble until a certain age in real life and should be thought of as a serious problem if you cannot show self control online.

 

So long as you keep it virtual and not move onto irl gambling I say have fun. Yeah, RS gold has cash value but if you're not buying or selling it, then the only thing you're losing if you go broke is time. It's better to get out your risk thrills on a game then in a casino.

 

Dicing is a bad thing, I don't advise to do it anymore you'll lose at the end if you get to greedy and wanted more. However I lost about 100B + EoC dicing and about 300M+ 07. You should just start to sell your GP for IRL $$ instead of losing it and making no use .. just advice.

 

I used to frequently dice as well. I've lost 900M in one dice before, which is truly a lot of money - both in runescape and real life. It's a hard thing to conquer but you've just got to say no, a friendly dice here and there is ok, but don't risk your bank. I'm a one dice, one win sort of person; if I win, I cut while I'm ahead. It's the same if I were to ever go to the casino.

Next time you do decide to dice, just bet reasonably, and stop when you're ahead. Then occupy yourself with skilling, making money through that. And in a weeks time have another dice, if you lose, don't go crazy to try and gain what you lost.

 

Advice? Don't have GP piled up, use it on something - even if it just means having all 99's banked or something.

 

On the private servers you said you'd lost 10m eoc equivalent, so if gambling with less than $5 total is getting you addicted, you've got problems. It's not like you're throwing away hundreds of dollars a time, it's been $5 with your ups and downs.

 

I wouldn't say you are addicted. I had multiple bettors that bet 5x that on a daily basis. 95% of the time they would lose it all that day and 100% of them lost it within a week. Your addiction is really nothing compared to others.

 

Dicing is very addicting i got hooked when it was around on rs3.

 

I've actually been making a profit of $300.00 or so, but I continue because I've been making money from it if I was really losing money then I'd pull out of it. I have enough self control for that.

OT: Just find other things to do with your time. Watch TV, go outside, etc. etc...

 

If gambling has become too addicting for you I would suggest getting help irl. Like tell a friend, your roommate or someone close to you that will be able to stop you from gambling when you have the urges. If you do irc gambling then I'd also probably talk to the owners and managers to see if they can get you temporarily banned from it. Another thing I would try is getting the StayFocused Extension for Chrome and add all the sites you use for gambling and put it in your blocked list for StayFocused. This extension is pretty good and it will block those sites for you for as long as you want .

If you really can't control it, consider giving some of your game wealth to an extremely trusted friend until your urges have been replaced by something else.
