Gun's Pardon

He still hasn't paid anything to @Pokemoners. This may be due to disagreements regarding the facts, however, as you've stated.

It seems to be the last matter to resolve. If you're fine with it moving forward and sorting through the facts thereafter, I won't be one to stand in the way of your decision.

 

Sounds reasonable to me.

 

All right. I'll start off the voting with a "no support".

 

There are three things to consider:

• The original scam report.
• Dave's findings last month.
• Pokemoner's response last fortnight.

Original Scam Report:

The original scam had Skele and Tgump conclude that there was insufficient evidence for a scam. The only possible reference to a bank pin cracking is presumably Gun messaging Poke his bank pin '9505'? Or something else? Very choppy evidence, and for that reason, is probably why Skele and Tgump said there was no evidence of a scam.

Dave's findings last month:

Dave said that: "2. 10m is the only thing we have proof of being stolen. Roy would have paid second due to his vouches, and the cracking the pin thing isn't valid, we have no proof. 10m is the cost of those supplies so 10m in Rs3 during June 2010 is $1.5/m".

Presumably, Dave looked at all the evidence and concluded there was no evidence to justify that Gun cracked the pin.

Pokemoner's response last fortnight:

Pokemoner has a picture that purports to show that 100m was on the account at around the time Gun allegedly cracked it. The picture is a link from this Wealth Log, so is pretty good evidence of what was in the bank at that time.

Pokermoner's alleges, from I can tell, that Gun never 'got it back' [Poke's account]. Logically then, all Gun would have to do is wait 7 days to reset the pin and take the items. That's a possible, but very strange scenario. If Poke was the original owner, and Gun only received the username and password, how could Poke not recover the account immediately? The original scam report shows chats starting at June-30, and the report being filed at July 1. How was Pokemoner's not able to recover his account?

That seems very implausible to me. Even if it is true, it is not evidence that Gun continue to stay on the account and wait the 7 days to reset the pin. It is equally as plausible that Gun just took the items, and absconded, forgetting about the account entirely.

Accordingly, there seems to be reasonable doubt, and since people are innocent until proven guilty, it would be unjust to require Gun to repay the value in the bank account, as the facts above do not support that he took them. Is there anything I'm missing, or have misinterpreted, or have mistaken?

Should Gun be pardoned?

Yes, I support his pardon. Gun has repaid an extraordinary amount, and although perhaps has not waited in silence, has waited for a considerably long time for this pardon to be processed. If he's a cunt, then he shouldn't have been DNT'd in the first place. Given that he's been DNT'd, the main question should be whether he's a threat to the community/market. Considering he's paid a not insubstantial amount back, it's unlikely that would be the case.

Gun acts like a tough guy but in reality he cares a lot about this website. After all the repayments, I think it would only be fair to support his pardon.
