GP Donations

Thanks for stepping up to the plate to do this nate, I think this will be a perfection addition to the site, it will help many people donate and will gain the site more money!

 

I do not have a set rate, however I feel that it will be very unstable right after free trade comes, so the rate of exchange may fluctuate frequently.

Sorry mate : P however anything involved with taking donations typically needs to be cleared with Matthew first.

Chargebacks are an issue with any business venture. In the same way that I am careful about who/how I take payments for anything else, I will be cautious in the same way when I sell the gold.

And BMTH ran off with like $400, I just MMed $1300 yesterday ; )

I have only had 1 $10 hold and zero charge-backs so far with paypal and I believe my rules are helping that.

 

Will There be GP ranks e.g. 50m+ or will you translate that into a cash rank?
in theory it would be better to donate later on when prices settle and potentially hit over $2 rather than when FT is released brining prices down?

 

No GP ranks. And you can donate whenever however you will only be credited with the going rate at that time.

More or less. I will most likely have a max and minimum required amount for you to donate. But yes for the most part your gold donated will be worth roughly the equivalent market value of gold at the time.

 

What kind of max are you talking about?

I'd be more so considering donating 200-300m for all the custom higher up stuff those donors get. Are you going to top it off at something low like 100 ?

 

No probably not, but like I wont be taking donations of 1B+ or anything like that. Additionally, depending on the volume of donations I get, I may have to stagger or have a waiting list if it gets to be too much, because I cant likely just fork out $10k to matthew if I get 10b donated, Ill obviously need to sell some of it first so that I can continue to accept the donations ; )

 

Even though this is Sythe-official, if personal shops cannot take pre-orders yours should not be able to either.

 

This shop will be allowed as it is a completely different purpose. Its not out for personal gain to me or Nate like every other shop on earth would be.

We might just advertise it in our sigs and likewise as well. We'll see what we do when we get there.

It's depending how much gold will sell for.

 

A gp -> usd rate will be developed and the ranks will be changed appropriately.
