good age to get married?

I think this is a purely subjective topic of discussion. I personally know people who got married at 21 (9 years later they have 2 kids) and people who marry at 33 (living happy marriages) and some people dont get married at all. I got married this last May at 28, I always thought I'd get married younger but life didn't pan out that way. If you can ask yourself am i ready financially, emotionally, and mentally and answer yes to all 3, any age is a good age.

 

I will agree with what Shuttles said above.

But I add this. Personally I think if I could change things I would have never got married. You can be together, have kids together, girl can legally change her last name to yours without marriage (at least in my state). And in case things don't work out, you are not legally obligated to split and/or pay alimony (but child support should their be kids involved).

You can still have a big wedding like party and do all the dressing up, but then never legally obligate yourself to splitting everything. Or if you do get married pray you don't accumulate wealth during, as a prenup only protects what you bring into the marriage at the beginning and not anything accrued during the marriage.

 

Fair point. I think thats where cultural background comes into play and dictates if marriage is the only option on the table or be shunned if you take a different route

i dont think theres "good" age for marriage. Imo anywhere between 18 to death.

 

25- 30 y.o

 

25-28. I think any older creates complications for wanting kids, career changes etc.

 

its less about age and more about your ability to problem solve

also picking a good partner is important

 

Anytime u are stable financially, emotionally etc should be fine, for most people that's around 25-32 so those are most common ages.

I dated my wife since I was about 12-13 in middle school. I married my wife at 18, end of my high school year. We're now going on 31 almost 32. We were together since middle school.

marry at a young age... 20 not later than 25 atleast, this will benifit you in the long run, kids will be grown ups while you retire at 40... nothing to worry about, a lot of people having trouble getting pregnant these days

 

Depends on the maturity level and how you feel etc. Marrying early is great because you start building a life earlier. However, if you marry early and marry the wrong person it can make things drastically more difficult for future you. I would say a safe age would probably be between 22-26.
