Global Warming

First id like to tell you it doesn't take a big temperature change in water in order to create harsher weather. Just a one degree rise can make a difference.

The glaciers are huge you can't really compare an ice cube in a cup because the cup and ice ratio isn't the same as in an ocean. They are a lot wider.

Also condensation occurs and water escapes out of the cup.

It also only takes a couple inches of extra water to completely go over coasts around the world.

 

2080 my ass... if Humans are going to die there's no changing that fact...one day the earth will totally be destroyed... and all life will parish it's kinda of sad that we're trying to save ourselves from something we've created. The ozone layer is fading away... and it is getting hotter...

The point really shouldnt be if it exsist. Even if it isnt real, we (the world) still need to find away to put less pollutents in the air. If the only way to clean up our earth is to tell everyone we will kill all man-kind to due it, then so be it. The US needs to find other ways of powering our energy hungry economy. I guess what im saying is, even if it doesnt exsist we still need to find ways to stop pollution and help lower oil prices by using clean renewable energy.

 

i dont belive its real. the fact that the glaciers have been melting ever since the ice age ended and the temp has been going up since then, is very confusing to most people apparently

 

1) You're using the wrong statistics. Only global temperature flux can be used as evidence for or against global warming, so it doesn't matter what temperature it is in England, not to mention that there is in fact a time lag between CO2 emissions and warming.

2) The temperature didn't drop six celsius worldwide, that's for sure. Cooling was caused by SO2 emissions, a global dimming gas.

3) Most ice lies on dry land, and so the effect you describe has no bearing.

4) I didn't know that, but I don't see how that's evidence against Global Warming.

5) Temperature hasn't changed a great deal yet in absolute terms; the cumulative effect of our emissions will cause a massive increase in Global Warming in the future though, that's why there is a call for action on it instead of simply accepting our fate.

6) Check your grammar. The Sun is a factor which is accounted for in climate models, this 11-year cycle is not responsible for the warming that has been observed since the Industrial Revolution, which fits neatly in line with a graph of carbon dioxide concentration in the atmosphere.

7) Cities are typically warmer than elsewhere because of ambient heat they emit. We're going to be looking at huge temperature increases and decreases all over the planet, basically Climate Change, as a result of Global Warming. Some cold places will get hotter, some hot places will get colder and so on.

Global Warming definitely is happening, and it is because of human greenhouse gas emissions. I'm a bit of a nerd on this subject, I spend half my time arguing with idiots on the MySpace Global Warming Hoax group.

 

I believe chances are the earth will be destroyed by the lottery before global warming. But that is just me.
