    Global Warming

I, being a christian, do not believe in global warming for sevral reasons.

    1. During the industrial revolution of england in the 17th century, the temprature dropped 8 celcius.

    2. In the 1960s, during the baby boom, the temprature dropped 6 celcius.

    3. If you float icecubes in a cup of water and let the icecubes melt, the water level does not go up, but actualy goes down, because ice expands when it freezes.

    4. In Al Gores "An inconvienant truth" he put up several videos of man-made destructions of iceburgs, where they where being broken apart and towed to nearby countrys to supply fresh water.

    5. IF temprature already changed so much, then why arent we seeing any change in water levels?

    6. The sun is gaining degrees, and yet nobody contributes this to the temprature gain.

    7. Most temprature gain occurs in heavily populated areas, and not near the artic.

I want to know what your view on the subject is, and if you have any more evidence against/for mine.

    Global Warming

"If" global warming is real, then I don't think it'll happen anytime soon... So I'm not worried about it.

actually, it will happen soon, dont believe everything you see in the movies... The Day After Tommorow Will Not happen within the next 50, 000 Years.

But I think we will have a much hotter earth & Much colder earth

Ice Cubes will melt, and yes, we will sink.

This is true, but not all of the ice is floating in the oceans of Earth. Most of it is sitting well out of reach of the water, so any runoff water would only increase sea levels.

    Global Warming

The Earth isn't wasn't made to be here forever god created it with and expirary date so to say. Whatever it is thats causing our climate to heat up i think its just a cycle or signs of end times.

The earth will be engulfed in a ball of fire. (said in revelations)

I don't know what to think about Global Warming

I completly agree. I do think the earth is getting warmer, but not for the reasons they provide. Suns probobly going to expand and engulf the earth in fire, fufilling another prophecy in the bible.

Because, everyone is getting "enviromentaly friendly". Its so they sell more cars, and stay with the trend. Doing this helps yourself, not the enviroment. Less smoke in air, less lung cancer, TEMPRATURE WILL NOT BE AFFECTED.

Welcome to the intelectual forums, give some evidence.

I believe it is real and we DO need to make changes.
Will it happen anytime soon? I dont think so.
But just to be safe we need to start making changes.
As for the cars,They just do that to sell more cars to hippies.

The global warming isn't really gonna change the weather fast, it's going to effect the enviorment.

Chances are nuclear war will destroy the earth before global warming does. And even if global warming is changing the temperature, I believe that the scientific world will be able to create something that will cool down the earth, way before global warming makes the earth unlivable.

I'm in agreement that Global Warming is caused by the Sun's Activity solely.

    Global Warming

I don't see what being a Christian has to do with your ideas on global warming. Also your leaving out other key elements which contribute to global warming. The greenhouse effect is 1 for example, which you failed to disprove or even mention. And your incorrect when you say we haven't experienced any raise in sea level as well. Aside from that we have also experienced increase in the frequency of extreme precipitation events in some regions of the world, lengthening of the growing season in middle and high latitudes, as well as more evident ecological changes such as earlier flowering of trees, earlier egg laying in birds, and decline in species of plants and animals. Global warming is indeed happening my friend, whether your Christian or atheist.

And you say "The sun is gaining degrees, and yet nobody contributes this to the temprature gain". Well your partially correct there. Scientists have already credited a certain percentage of global warming to this. The sun is getting hotter and IS a contributing factor the the global rise in temperature.

Your forgetting a key factor... Human contribution. It only makes sense, that in heavily populated areas, you will see the most drastic changes, becuase that is where the most cars will be driven, the most coal will be burned, and where the most emissions will be released, thus depleting the ozone layer even faster.

Of course global warming is happening, but it is not like 5 degrees every year...no, that would be just crazy, it is like a degree very 100 years but the effects of that can be very disastrous.

Other than that, nothing serious. Not to mention the flooding of most coastal cities, including most of Florida, New Orleans, ect

It is not really supposed to take full effect until about 2080, and by then our technology will definately be able to deal with it.

Your just relying on technology to take solve the problem, which I assure you it wont. Humans need to change our ways drastically in an effort to slow down warming. However, it is inevitable, seeing only a small percentage is pinned to humans.

Technology will later...in 80 years a lot will change, unfortunately more animal species will die out by then, but it shouldn't be to big of a deal.
