Think of a way besides your job to make back the money you lost that doesn't involve gambling, then you'll break even or even profit.

i've almost got myself hooked to gambling and keeps me coming back for more but i try to think of what i could of done what i can do and not what i use to have because simply you need to move on and look down better path try to keep away from casino's for awhile go on a holiday with your family or something go back to just living simple its always good to go back to basic's.

Used to do quite a bit of online football gambling, within about 2 weeks i was up £700, then I watched my friend loose all of his pay-check on the roulette machine in the bookies, decided to ban myself off all sites there and then :p

This was about 3 months ago and i haven't placed a bet yet.

Eh in my experience winning large amounts of money is the worst thing that can happen I was a fairly casual gambler till I started out at a casino one night with $800 and proceeded to turn it into $22,000. Then proceeded to make around 35 grand more in the next two months it made it were I was making bets 10-20x what I would have previously done and you don't think about losing the money only of how much your gonna make. Gambling addiction is such a hard one to overcome you could literally make it impossible for you to withdraw more money but thats often hard. I would honestly recommend going to get counseling if its at the point where its ruining your life, if its not though Id say just try to go to the casino with a small amount and stick to it .

Unfortunately, thats the lure of Casinos. They bank on people with the exact same attitude as you. The i can make more or i can make it back. At the end of the day, you have to realize that the house always wins in the end. That is why they're in business haha. But back on topic, you need to find another addiction of sorts. In my opinion, everyone is addicted to something. Whether it be a video game, a sport, or something. Try to find something that is more constructive than gambling. I went through this when i was trying to quick RuneScape. I tried a number of things, sports, etc. I finally found weight lifting along with Ultimate Frisbee. I recommend trying a wide range of things for the next while, and trying to find a couple things you enjoy, and become very involved in that :)

Make it something for fun rather than money making. I saw a video of Bill Gates in Las Vegas and he was betting $5 hands on black jack.

I share a similar problem, I have lost 40,000$ + in last 3 month of 2013 on online poker and casino's.

When i lost my first 5k$ the rest started moving fast... i know that addiction and i understand how difficult it is to get out off... i still suffer from my loss till today and even though i havnt completely stopped gambling, but i realized nothing can ever stop or control me if i dont start from deep within, from your own SELF CONTROL.

You gotta realize how bad it is and fight the seduction bro

I'd say talk to your friends about it. Help them help you. Try to stay away from it as best as you can and if not I'd go to some addiction programs.

Find some hobbies. Get your mind off gambling. It's in the past, and you have learned from it. Money isn't everything. Good Luck.

Only way is to avoid it. You can't just gamble for fun anymore after you have addiction.
