Forbidding Trading Discord Advertisements

Beginning today - we no longer allow the advertising of trading discords on Sythe. You may not advertise a trading discord in a post, thread, signature, or even a pm.

We will be giving 48 hours of grace time before we start punishing for this (1 week ban for first offenders). If you currently advertise a trading discord, please make adjustments as necessary.

Original suggestion: Forbid advertising direct competition to sythe.

Wait I'm confused,

Is this market discords for services or is this for gold selling buying etc?

Could someone elaborate further to whom and which this affects?

Such as "A provider cannot post their discord"

Or "A discord with many people trading in it is not allowed"

Just curious to the exact details of this.

@tigeris Just explained we can have discord servers aslong as we do not allow open trading channels or other providers to offer services correct?

or private individuals to sell, trade, or offer any type of account / service?

If you have a discord with an open market for users to post in, then it is not allowed.

 

So for example if the server is used for only provider offering services on Sythe it is allowed IE: No one allowed to sell or trade there besides whom is the owner of said server/sythe that is in relation?

Far as I'm understanding , "correct me if I'm wrong" as long as there is no "Peer to Peer trading" , or "open channels for users that could use Sythe to trade instead" then its allowed to have our "servicing discords" open still and host them in siggies etc?

I can understand this change if this statement is true?

You can have your discord open if there's no trading, period. Essentially, your discord would become purely a community discord, if you were to continue to advertise it.
