Do you have children that play RS?

I don't think I'd introduce my kids to this game. I wouldn't want them to play, Once you're sucked in it gets VERY addicting. and the worst part is you'd always come back and relapse and play again once you quit.

Being addicted to Rs at ages 20+ is not healthy, it's too grindy. You need to dump in a lot of hours every day to achieve Xp/items etc. it's not productive

I'd rather have them play other games like Cod / Fortnite or any game that doesn't have a real grind to it. they can hop on whenever they want, run a few games and be satisfied..... But Runescape.... runescape can keep you glued to your screen 25 hours, 9 days a week for years on end.

Don't get me wrong, Runescape gave me AMAZING memories growing up and taught me a lot.

 

Personally I experienced a lot of memories in middle school, around the real 2007 era.
Sleeping over at a friends house, staying up all night playing runescape eating junkfood.
It was a great time of my life but now I rarely play. I do enjoy the game but like you said, I don't have time for the huge grind (although I just started an ironman as ironic as that is)
I work, I develop bots, I just don't have the time to achieve the childhood dream goals of maxxing although if I had the choice I probably would do that.
Just have to win that lottery

 

One of my clan mates lets his kids play, they have their own accounts and he also has them train his accounts up for him. they are very young tho I believe. <11 years old

 

Tried teaching my 5 year old osrs abit, but he prefers stuff like fortnite

 

RS seems a little less intriguing to a young child as something like Fortnite would be so I'm not surprised. I bet if he were older (10-12+) he would be more interested in RS.

Yep, my two oldest, being 20 and 25 both play.

 

Did you know, the 'Retired', in 'Retired Global Mod', was panned after I retired IRL and from the staff team at the same time. Before that, it was simply known as, 'Ex-Global Mod'.

 

Children of my friends play equally often both on the PS and on the computer. It seems to me that all children love games. With no exceptions.

I dream of a day where my childrens children play this game. that will complete me as a person.

 

No, but my children are going to play. They are going to spend their holidays grinding scape like I did back in the day.
