Not really, If someone was scammed by me when I was hacked let me know I have no issues paying them back. The point is everyone act's like we are hacking the skypes. No we have no control over them and hotmail has security flaws as well from what I have heard so it is lose lose.

So are you basically saying that the 15+ people that have been hacked are doing this? Are you serious. Horrible logic.

No i am not but the fact that it would be possible is disgusting imo.

And i will never sell or buy via skype for that very reason.

And trust me that is not hard to do also.as there are other ways, safer ways to talk.

Like I have said before that if someone was scammed by my hacker please inform me and i will pay it back. That is before I was unbanned as I have it posted not to trade with that skype. But the skype flaws are not our fault. Which is why I agree with this rule and I will leave it at that.

No, this is not true, and I'm uncertain why you're bringing this up in response to Skype hackings. Most people will have a recommendation in their ToS, any some may have it as a requirement, but the audience we are trying to speak to are the uninformed.
It is not out of the realm of possibility.

This is why I said people should be responsible for their Skype accounts such like how they are responsible for their IP.
In defense, you stated that "we don't have control over our Skype accounts" (paraphrasing),

No he is missing the main point that the hacking of the skypes is not in our control. So until it is cleared up I just think it should be A) known to always request a pm or B) discontinue the use of skype on sythe until the flaw is fixed.

As you continually miss the point that...

USERS SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR SKYPE ACCOUNTS...

...SUCH LIKE THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR IP

Exactly. In reality, it has opened the door to mass scamming.

    *Edit:

Basically, you're supporting people getting scammed on Sythe with the posibility of no reimbursement (if requirement(s) not met).

If you are going to use sythe to trade and make money and you choose to use skype then you should be responsible for paying back anyone who is scammed by that sythe that's all there is to it.

Should not even have to be a rule so many people been scammed because of this.

Why not help the fellow Human out and use other ways of talking?

Would just solve a lot of problems imo.

Sorry for the loss.Is just not good enough.

I mean what a first time experience for a sythe user.

not everyone are used to these environments.

i did not know there was so many parasites in this world till i joined this site.

it has taught me so much in just over 2 months it is unreal.

I am not supporting people being scammed, as I have offered to repay people who have been scammed my by hacker if there are any. But I also don't support not taking the incentive to do a safe trade by requesting a pm.

...but you are, which I continue to tell you...

    Look here...
    The rule?
You are agreeing to the fact that if users do not receive a Sythe PM from a user prior to being scammed, they will NOT BE ELIGIBLE FOR REIMBURSEMENT.

This is the main point of thread, as well as my prior posts.

I do agree with it in the sense of people not taking safety precautions for not practicing safe trading. Then the fault is on them. But I don't support people being scammed hence why they need to request pm's.

This rule is silly. I agree strongly with what Video, Unbanned and Nero have said. This literally opens up a gateway to scam users under false pretences and not have to face any repercussions. I mean, seriously, more harm than good will come from this.

Anyway, there is really no point debating it further if it's not going to change, regardless of what's being said.

Yeah, I agree that there is that possibility. Unfortunately skype has MAJOR security flaws right now and even someone with a secure account can have it taken over. The only logical thing is for people to ask for a PM while trading someone on skype right now.

The point is not that we're saying don't ask for a PM, we're saying that if a scam takes place on a Skype account that is hacked, prior to people being made aware, then those affected should be reimbursed. If for example my skype was hacked, and I made staff aware 1 week in advance, and they put an announcement up, then fair enough, if someone was to get scammed it wouldn't really be my fault as there was fair notice. However if there isn't notice, then individuals should be compensated in full. However, I'm not really sure on the time-period of notice one has to give, before they aren't liable.

Stop taking a side because it benefits you.

The idea that everybody should know to request a pm is ludicrous. Did it ever occur to you that a large majority of traders are unfamiliar with this site?

If you call someone's phone, and somebody answers, you assume the person you're talking to is the owner of the phone. Skype is exactly the same.
