The part I find most disturbing is that many of the moderators, including globals, disagree with aspects of the actions taken by the administrators and still nothing is happen. Two former admins are also stating the issues they see with the staff as of current and all that has been done is one of them has been banned. A point that I have stressed numerous times in the past is the imbalance of power to accomplish things on Sythe meaning mainly that most ex-moderators and respected users can do no more than a new member in bringing about change. However, this has gotten even worse as even globals are speaking out, publicly, against actions and still nothing is being done. This is a really scary thought.

Exactly. I understand that some things can be left alone and hidden from the public, but we have several mods/ex-mods arguing about this as well. Doesn't this appear as a problem to the current admins? Shouldn't something be done? We have yet to see Sythe post his thoughts and explanation of his actions on the issue.

Great post. Hopefully sin doesnt get banned for posting his input. It really is. If i wanted to go to powerbot I would, but it seems like this is turning into powerbot. Its a shame.

Instead of reposting the same thing in different tone, we should patiently wait for either Sythe or Finn to respond. I would personally like to hear from Sythe before I make any decisions.

The finn issue is only a small part of this, my main issue is that our oligarchical structure is getting smaller and smaller and more exclusive. It almost seems like theres no point to have sectionals and globals lately, besides us taking care of the workload of reports and such.. (i'm not talking about me personally here, i'm fully aware that i don't contribute as much as i should to those things)

Which shouldn't be right, considering you are doing all that work. You have about as much pull as us in those sort of things right?

I think MegaMatt and Hahanerd are pretty much saying what most of us are thinking. Were not specifically trying to go get all the admins banned/demoted. We just want some answers and not let the staff become to secluded to the point where normal members don't know any thing that's happening. Personally I came to Sythe because it wasn't Powerbot but when threads get moved and your told "stfu" when you ask about the situation it sure feels like were the new Powerbot.

Were users on this site, which make the site what it is, you run the site, which means your decisions affect us, and therefore we care how they affect us.

By you..I mean the admin/global/sectional teams.

How is it not our business??? If you think hiding this information is better for the community, you've got another thing coming. You have half your damn staff against you right now. All we want is more insight on what happened, and a detailed explanation for your decisions. The longer you wait, the more agitated the members get.

Sythe is a community thing. When one special someone goes down without any reasoning by which he goes down, we all go down. The fact that you administrate the site, and that we the members of which make all that possible. (without members the site would practically useless) therefore we have a right to know what's going on behind a ban that was NOT warranted.

All of the administrators are trying to stay away from the topic that everyone personally wants to know; "Why was Tyro banned?", because they know the ban was unwarranted.

Basically to sum it up, you (the administrators) put down one of Sythe's most loved members, for no reason at all. It's irritating a lot of the members, so why don't you just spill the beans? The section and global moderators don't even know, so why not tell us?

It's our business because we care about Sythe and letting it go to shit because the administrators do what they want, when they want, how they want, will ultimately cause corruption and destroy the site that everyone posting here loves. It's our business because the admins are not infallible and they make mistakes just like everyone else. It's our business because more voices are better than a few and create more ideas, more solutions, and more discussion allowing for a better outcome. It's our business because the admins, an extremely tiny group, has stopped listening to anyone besides themselves. It's out damn business because the admins are wrong, multiple globals agree, and this is the only way that the admins may actually realize this.

Sigh. You all completely misunderstood me. I just meant that if we wanted to make these kind of issues public, we would.

Until we have staff scamming people and spreading viruses, we won't be as bad as Powerbot. That being said, you guys really need to make an official statement about what happened so that you get people back on your side.

The point is, the matter was already public. As I have said numerous times in the past (anyone seeing a pattern?) the staff have caused this drama, not the users. The fact is, all the information on the thread was and still is accessible by everyone. The thread didn't contain any sensitive information. When you hide information and suddenly ban members that contributed to it, people are going to get mad. They are going to call you out and things are going to get worse.

I don't know why Tyro is banned but someone could have just reached out to him. Tell everyone that the list was being taken into consideration by the staff and leave the thread in the public eye. Assure the community that steps are being taken to correct the problems they see and ask them for their opinions. Make the community feel like it matters by putting yourself out there. It does not even matter if anything actually happens. It doesn't matter if you lie to everyone. It would still work out better for the stability of the forum.

Seeyah, I might be with you.
Very well put. Corruption is the worst thing that can happen, and when there are so only few admins, the effect from the corruption is horrible. Admins aren't perfect and hopefully you guys can realize this and turn sythe to the better again, and not let it keep going down the road to being like powerbot.
