Designer Rank

so, there are a lot of good and well talented designers out there with a lot of vouches/feedback
but there is literally no one with a designer rank o.0 well i only saw 1 member with a designer rank and that's it.

we need to award good designers with a nice designer rank.
thoughts?

For a while now the award typically only goes to people who help out Richard(Sythe) with something. Not sure what requirements would need to be met for this award but sure it would be nice for it to be given out more often.

He helped Sythe with the logo you see on the site. Didn't make it just adapted it.

 

Ranks are a pretty big deal on sythe, and non-donor/staff are rarely given out willy nilly. Despite that, I do think it would be a decent idea to award them to designers who have been around a while, suchs as @theArc @Lvl 75 Def @Jiwi to name a few.

MoonGlare received the rank for creating the original logo, and Leaf of Life got it for recreating it in an SVG version. Also, Raze45 had it for making a logo before.

I don't think it's a good reason to award graphic designers with a rank just because they're talented. The rank is given to users that have directly contributed to Sythe with their graphics and I think the way how the rank is given is fine as it is.

Sure i'd like to see this. though it's not as simple as alot of other ranks, this isn't completely factual. Is it based on activity? No it shouldn't be only activity. Is it based skill? That's subjective to a certain extent. So how it'd be implemented, i don't know.

Moonglare was given leisure to make a fun rank as a basis of having the winning theme and logo and he chose to make a fun rank which directly would detract from the idea of fun ranks being irrelevant to trust by making one that would directly try to help his business. From there it's just been something that's been given out / asked for by various gfx artists that helped with logos etc.
